Prince Charles has served with honour in his country's military.
And I have personally seen him stare down a man running towards him firing a pistol without flinching. I was almost wetting my pants and I wasn't a target.
Whatever you may think of some of his political statements, his courage and service are not questionable.
Honestly, I am basing my opinions on his disturbing fawning over the Islamic occupation of his country. He hasn't made any statements critical of the terrorist attacks in London or the open hatred expressed by immigrants who are collecting welfare and not even working.
How are former nobles treated by caliphates?
I have to be open here - I know the Prince of Wales. I went to school with him. I'm a close friend of his brother, the Duke of York, and have met him on a number of occasions.
The Prince wants to be King of all his people, and that includes British Moslems. As he will be Head of the Church of England, he feels it is important to make it clear to Britons of other faiths that he is concerned for them too.
But the Prince despises terrorism with an incredible passion. He lost his Godfather to the IRA. He doesn't speak out about much, because he is not supposed to. He is very limited as to what he is permitted to say in public, and he has to go through the British government to have most statements approved.
Yes, announce it but actually deploy somewhere else.
Of course they could use a double & report that too, sow lots of confusion on his whereabouts.
My nephew got to know him, too. He's the kid in the picture. OK, that's a bit of a stretch. ;-)
Well he should, he wears the same uniform, and ensignia as the rest. He should serve the same tour. Way to go young prince, service will do you good.
Is it safe to say that Harry does not take after his old man?
Great "bait", though. Ground attack aircraft or choppers loitering two minutes away to swoop in and take out the enemy when they rise to the bait.
Or also his Grandmother's spirit. She served in WWII. She did not have to serve, but she did. Good for him.
So did Harry's Uncle Andrew.
"I have personally seen him stare down a man running towards him firing a pistol without flinching. I was almost wetting my pants and I wasn't a target."
Details please.
One of those guys is over dressed and it isn't your nephew:')
I am keeping my nose clean I doubt Charley would grow backbone in his old age but I have feeling that maybe Prince William also in the UK miltary may encourage rescue mission I think Will probably close enough to his brother do something like that
Don't forget Prince Phillip serve in Royal Navy as Lt Phillip Mountbatten at the time
I think maybe Diana papa Johnnie Spencer serve in miltary himself
I thought young, recently-commissioned officers in the British Army were called subalterns. Harry Flashman was a subaltern.
Yes, he has, and the Duke of York is also a combat veteran. Britain wasn't involved in any wars when the Prince of Wales was serving so he never had that opportunity.
26th January 1994 - His Royal Highness was visting Australia and rose to make an Australia Day speech at Darling Harbour, Sydney. I was one of the many Australian Defence Force personnel present.
A student named David Kang ran from the crowd firing what we later found out was a starting pistol - at the time, we didn't know it wasn't real, and nor did the Prince.
There's not much about it online - just a little too early for mass internet coverage.
But that gives you some idea. Contrast the Prince's face to that of the senior police officer behind him.
He stood his ground, he didn't flinch - he didn't move much at all until one of his bodyguards shouldered him aside.
And then he got on with his speech.
True. Salutes to those that served.
