Anyway, the only two films I saw were "Devil Wore Prada" and "The Queen." I love Helen Mirren and I'm so glad she won. I can't really comment on the other awards except that I think they should have given it to Peter O'Toole for fortitude alone, He does not look well.

I agree about Helen Mirren... she is an incredible actress. I really wanted to see "The Queen", but we've been so busy, we're way behind in catching any good movies. The only one we saw was "Letters from Iwo Jima" - because my stepson took us to see it when it opened in LA. There was lots of "Oscar buzz" around that film in December-January.

I'm sure I'll be seeing photos of the fashions for days. My favorite.....Cate Blanchette..she's always so classy.

you know it is easier for the 20 & 30 year olds to look wonderful in the gowns. Helen is near 60 if not 60 already, I believe.

Who wore that orange one...completely cut out back? was that Gweneth Palthrow? I loved that dress..

Cate Blanchett has such great fashion sense...I loved her dress a couple of years ago, the one with the scarlet sash.

I think my favorite gown tonight was Penelope Cruz's...

I admire Helen Mirren because she has the confidence not to have plastic surgery. She is who she is - a beautiful 61-year-old woman.
