Gore on Climate Change
Former Vice President Al Gore appears before a House Energy Subcmte. hearing on Global Climate Change. He’s joined by Professor Bjorn Lomborg, author of a book titled, “The Skeptical Environmentalist.” Gore will also appear later today before the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee.

I guess "eminence" covers the word I thought was missing from the NYTIMES photo id: preacher. I listened to a bit of one of his opening statements on cspam radio and he has fully entered the preachin' life. He no more was testifying facts than any reverend does on a Sunday TV show.
