Today is the "traditional" FIRST DAY of SRING. In celebration of Spring, two photos from 2006.

Pink Laura Bush tulips bloom in the East Garden. The tulip was named in the First Lady’s honor April 22, 2004.

I'm back from Chicago, and then teaching a full afternoon/evening of classes and I am exhausted!

Just want to drop in and say thanks, and add to that, the President makes me PROUD!

I'm truly going to TRY my best to be organized and set to go --- but I know me. I'm already worrying about having to catch a 6:00AM plane, which means that I have to leave for the airport bo later than 3:30AM. I suppose I am kidding myself that I can fall asleep in the early evening.

The only household chores I do is cook and a bit of washing up. Our friend Brenda who used to sit with mum and now comes in 3 times a week to keep dad company does the rest when she comes in.

She keeps dad company but also helps me by dusting, cleaning vacuuming etc.

I clean out the pigeons and feed them and our friend Michael maintains the garden for us.

Where do you buy Laura Bush tulip bulbs?

I'd love to have some to plant this fall!

I didn't have to wear them for school but my mom kept buying me dresses and skirts. And she would make dresses for me too. By the time I hit high school, I never wore them unless I had to. I like getting dressed up occasionally. I *loved* getting dressed up for prom. I think the last time I got dressed up was for my cousin's wedding. And she's divorced now...

You should have seen him with Mr Ohio after the concert. They were actually on the floor of the church (near the gym) wrestling!

Any interview this administration gives amounts to a hearing or a trial to the pack of wolves in the press corps or the DIM side of the aisle! They make it so!
