Yeah, Tsongas actually passed away around Clinton's second nomination.

If he had won in '92 he wouldn't have lasted a full term.

The whole theory makes such perfect sense even to a layman like myself. Good to hear they may be mainstreaming it now.

I said in my previous post that she discontinued the treatment but actually she finished that trial and did not elect to go into the next one.

Fighting Cancer is a very stressful job. I can’t make the comparison between the Press Sec. and cancer, but take it from me; when you are facing the unknown and the sword of Damocles’ hanging over you, you have stress.

We all deal with stress differently. I choose to set it aside and the only worry is if I prepared enough for my family to carry on and thrive after I die. I just had a violent allergic reaction to one of my Cancer Medications and I went into anaphylactic shock where EMS/911 had to be called. This was in the Doctor’s office and four nurses and a Doctor were all frantically trying to save my life. I had Zero air flow and a Blood Pressure of 50/48. According to all involved, they almost lost me.

I spent 2 hours in the ER of our Hospital and walked out and back into the Doctor’s office to recover my coat. I went to work the next day and did my normal 12 hours. The message of this is that I do not fear what can happen. I’d rather dwell on fighting the little speed bump called cancer than dwelling on my plight in life. I consider myself a very fortunate person. I have family and friends who love me, I have a God who is not ready for me yet, I have hope for a LONG battle with this disease and I have a faith that God has put me on this earth to accomplish some jobs for Him. I firmly believe that He isn’t done with me yet. If this cancer is the price I pay for being around to do His work, I am a very rich man.

To all that have sent me their prayers and good wishes:

I wish you wonderful things in very large portions for a very long time. I will pass the prayers and good wishes along to the Big Guy in the sky and ask Him to help Tony find the same peace I am finding.

Make sure you tell someone today how special they are to you and how much you love them.

Tom

When bad things happen to very good people GOD has a plan. Our prayers stand with Tony , the whole family , his friends at Fox news and of course the White House they are hurting too today. With God as our Father we all know we can get through this day and many more. We are all standing in front of God today praying for Tony, his wife and his family. God show his mercy on him today. May he get well soon so we can all see his smiling face back on tv . Tony we all love ya!

Oh, crap. This is the same thing that happened to the late Mr. Redhead. Tony and his family are at the top of my prayer list for now.

I just came back online a moment ago and read this at Yahoo news. I'm not a crying guy, but tears are in my eyes.

I think the one that is most sad is Elizabeth Edwards. A major spread into the bones, she'll probably be gone by Christmas unless she is very lucky and resilient.

Tony's news is bad but not nearly as bad as Mrs. Edwards.

This is Tony's second bout with cancer, isn't it? How awful.

May Almighty God watch over, protect, and heal him.

Anyone else notice that CNN had to pick the worst picture they could find of Tony Snow? What a bunch of hacks.

You have to work to make a wholesome guy like Tony look like that. But no one was putting up tabloid-style pics of Liz Edwards last week.

Off the bat, I have to say that as a liberal, I may not agree with everything that you guys say most of the time.

However, my thoughts and prayers are now with Tony Snow. I wish all the best for him and his family, just as I have wished all the best for Elizabeth Edwards and his family. To do any less would be inhuman and soulless of me.

This disease reaches across the aisle, as it is a tragedy when anyone is afflicted with it, especially after previous occurrences. Having two family members that have died of cancer helps me identify with, and pray for, Tony and Elizabeth and anyone else suffering from it.
