I dare say that there are a good many homosexuals that stand a better chance before God than some of the Phelps do.

They're not doing anything worthwhile. You think picketing the funeral of a young gay man screaming "God hates fags!" is productive or worthwhile? It's not the sort of thing that people I know who call themselves Christian would do.

No not really. You see an arguement isn't for me to moeve you to my position or you move me to your position, but to help me learn more about my position by having other bounce information back at me.

Sort of a devils advocate type of situation, and just maybea ll involved will learn something, I always do, even if the position I first stood for isn't something I even really beleived.

I wonder how come they can call themselves Baptists. Surely the Bapist Convention would have kicked them out by now, right?

Actually, I'm a bona fide Southern Baptist, and I don't think the convention should allow them to use the label. However, The convention is set up in a psuedo-confederacy system, so one association actually has little to do with what the others preach and teach. Only the most outrageous actions would ever draw the attention of the convention at large (you would think this is one). My church's association (Kilpatrick) probably would have booted them by now. If I knew what association they claim to be part of, I could contact them.

Just checking. I've seen many on this forum condemn homosexual techniques but then opine, "It's OK for a man and a woman to have (insert adjective here) sex."

Maybe it is, but I don't think so. I think it is you who is incorrect. "Hate the sin, love the sinner" - ring any bells? If they said "God hates male on male anal sex" maybe they'd have something.

I don't claim to be a Christian, so I can safely say that I hate this family of a-holes.

Well there is s good reason to not eat those two!

They are bottom feeders and eat the scum of the ocean.
