I'm pretty much agnostic and agree whole-heartedly with your observation. Many of them (not all) do seem quite obnoxious in their belief of non-belief.

Excuse me? I don't get on here and call you Christians names, nor tell you how stupid I think you are for believing in some deity (I don't think your are stupid, just making a point). In fact, I am on your side for pretty much EVERYTHING. I even want Roe V. Wade to be overturned, and I want the 10 Commandments (most of which are really good rules to live by) to be allowed in publicly owned places. Stop the atheist bashing. We aren't all bad. The only time I am obnoxious and in your face is when I am arguing politics with a liberal. I will even tell militant atheists off if they are trying to mess with our Judeo-Christian culture.

Just had to get in a little defense for us who are doomed to live only one life and then become wormfood. :)

I could say the same thing about the religious, or at least a minority of them. Same as with atheists - most are like me and have no particular interest in disabusing anyone else of their particular beliefs. I don't really care what anyone believes as long as it doesn't threaten my well-being, or require something from me.

In fact, as your post shows, the religious regularly display a complete lack of respect for the beliefs (or lack thereof) of atheists as atheists are accused of showing towards the religious.
