Good morning, Everyone. Good morning
Thank you Mrs. N, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities.

II guess since today is HUMP day, I'll throw in a little trivia to get all those sluggish minds reved up.
During Desert Storm in 1991, Tony Orlando and Dawn's 1970s pop hit Tie a Yellow Ribbon (Round the Old Oak Tree) had a resurgence in popularity as the anthem for American families with loved ones overseas. As a result of the tremendous demand for yellow ribbon, one ribbon-maker shipped 30 million yards of yellow ribbon in a month.
"Chopines" were platform shoes that became popular in Europe during the 16th century. Some chopines were over 20 inches tall. In the 1400's, a popular form of shoes called "crakows" sported extremely long toes. The length of the toes, which could be over 20 inches, was an indication of the social status of the person wearing them.
The first cyanoacrylate (super/krazy glue) was discovered by accident, when chemists at Eastman-Kodak accidentally glued two prisms together when testing new organic compounds for light refracting properties.
Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
And, for the rest of you ..
Now remember, the Canteen is
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS

Good morning, dear
Whatz on tap for today?
Hey Meg, the forecast is for temps in the 60s for the next few days. I thought we would get some rain yesterday, but the storms just missed us.
no prizes, just “Woo Hoo’s” for hitting on a 50 or 00. It’s a little childish and silly, but then again so are most of us “Canteeners”.
Good morning and *HUGS* Meg
Mornin’ Tom!
BTW today is Norton Update Day.
Also, we'll know tommorow what if any updates wil be released for Windows.
((HUGS))Good morning, Beach. How's it going?
A lady goes to the bar on a cruise ship and orders a Scotch
with two drops of water. As the bartender gives her the drink she
says, “I’m on this cruise to celebrate my 80th birthday and it’s
today..”
The bartender says, “Well, since it’s your birthday, I’ll
buy you a drink. In fact, this one is on me.”
As the woman finishes her drink, the woman to her right
says, “I would like to buy you a drink, too.”
The old woman says, “Thank you. Bartender, I want a Scotch
with two drops of water.”
Coming up,” says the bartender.
As she finishes that drink, the man to her left says, “I
would like to buy you one, too.”
The old woman says, “Thank you. Bartender, I want another
Scotch with two drops of water.”
“Coming right up,” the bartender says.
As he gives her the drink, he says, “Ma’am, I’m dying of
curiosity. Why the Scotch with only two drops of water?”
The old woman replies, “Sonny, when you’re my age, you’ve
learned how to hold your liquor. Holding your water, however,
is a whole other issue.”
Ah so, well then, congratulations on being #500! Hope it is the first of many good things for you today!! :)
Good morning everyone! It's going to be a nasty day here in the deep South! It is pitch black outside and it looks like I may need an Ark to get out of here today! |
It's going to be a tough day. I'm going in.... |
Did you get Inventor yet?
Mernin’, GE!
Hey, are you guys missing some weather up there? We are getting some of it this weekend! Mid 30’s Sunday.
Good morning and (((HUGS))) EG. Not much happening today. Slept badly last night for some reason so I’m trying to decide if I should have one more cup of coffee and jump into the work that awaits me.
Whatz up with you?
