sorry about the stress/trials at work DIta. Mega prayers for you sweetie!
We had light rain overnight but it’s all cleared out now. Nice sunny afternoon - wish I were in the garden instead of at work!
Thank you for your concern, Mama Bear... Hugs!!
Your experience sounds EXACTLY like mine, so you know how overwhelming it can be.
I’m actually having a better day, because I stayed home...LOL. Legitimately, because I have a sinus infection. (Meg, you are magical, with your wish for a better day...:) I felt so draggy and sick this morning, until I called in sick, then I had some renewed energy!!
It is a BEAUTIFUL brisk Spring day here. The winds have cleaned and freshened the air, there are cottony clouds floating over, and it’s gorgeous!!
However, there’s a police/evacuation incident nearby. I saw helos hovering, so phoned West L.A.P.D. division and they said “dynamite has been found.” No details.
God bless each and every one of you, my FRiends.
someone was asking about favorite white/off white roses.
My favorite when I grew them was Pristine. I won a lot of ribbons showing that one. Not sure if it is still on the “hot” rose list.
Well, I am home for a few hours before Bible Study/small group tonight & considering going w/reddish hair.
I normally do it Valentines day thru St. Pats but did NOT this year.
I bought beef liver, chicken hearts & fish for my pets. I HATE cooking meat.
later
oh, BTW Jaycee.. Thanks for comments on Cali (she is old.. 18) we have 4 calicos in the house. Cleopatra a short hair about 7 & Pricess & Queenie a mom/daughter persian combo about 5 & 6 years old
Thank you. Oops, Dolly... ping to 144... feeling better that I can see this bright, pretty day (not cooped up in windowless workplace).
I was just about to say how sweet and beautiful Cali is, before I saw this post... that photo says so much.
Hugs!!!
A stray little girl showed up on my porch last week, bright eyes looking up at me in the dark, hungry and obviously glad for a little chow.
She hung around for few days, got bothered by the Toms in the hood until I intervened and asked them to back off. The next day, she came up to me for some lovin' and we had our bonding moment when I officially became her slave.
Took me another day to reaalize she was sick with a big abcess on her back, so I kept her in over Easter weekend and we went to the vet on Monday.
Surgery has now taken care of her wound, and antibiotics are battling the infection. The vet says she's doing fine.
I'll get her back next week ... gonna try to find a good home for her in the meantime.
She's a lovey little thing ... vet told me she's about five months old ... I call her Coffee ... )
I’ve seen Pristine in catalogs. It looks beautiful and I’d love to grow it. I have to check the cold hardiness of this rose.
Have fun tonight. Let’s see pictures of you with red hair. ;)
LOL. Well, that's an excellent way of solving your stressful work situation, however sorry to hear that you have a sinus infection. Those can be miserable and can take a long time to clear up.
We have very high icy winds here today. Feels just like the wind is coming off the water....sort of like the way I hear it is in Chicago much of the time. BRRRRR....
Guess I won't be going out and photographing more roses today - they are blowing around like crazy.
LOL... I can't believe your forecast... Enough of Winter already!
Hi.. I was wondering how she was doing . I recall a few days ago you mentioning the new “stray”.. I think God gave her to you. No need to find a home, she already has one.
Hair color & cook yukky meat time..
gonna try to find a good home for her in the meantime.
Well, sounds like Coffee's found a good home, complete with her own personal "slave". LOL.
Amen, stopem. Delay is not denial.
(((Dita)))
I know it’s too much. How are you today? Is it nice there? I was out and about in torrential rain before. I get home and I’m soaked. As soon as I get home, it lightens up. LOL!!
Come down here and you will see possums... they make a really messy roadkill...yuk. We especially had loads of them in Santa Monica, where I lived and a raccoon a time or two.
Here’s some sugar from Aunty Dita for Coffee... she is ADORABLE.
