This may be another Haditha in the making. My son is a part of this unit, but he's not talking.

I’m afraid I don’t know how to properly post a link, but if you go to the Yahoo home page, the link to this article can be found there.

Here we go again. The “perfumed princes” of careerist generals, ambitious JAGs and unscrupulous investigators and lying muslims now out to hamstring and second guess warriors under fire. And, still the White House cannot figure out why the war against terrorists isn’t going so well with the American public.

When your responding to an attack, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS EXCESSIVE FORCE!! If innocents are killed blame those that launched the attack. The goal of terrorists (which is who we are fighting) is to merely wreck havoc on everyone. Military leaders who ignore this should be canned. Semper Fi Marines.

Our nation is at war and we are prosecuting our military for using excessive force against an enemy that has no qualms about blowing up infants, children, women and old men.

An enemy that routinely tortures and beheads civilians and would have no problem killing millions of unbelievers with nuclear weapons "WHEN" they obtain one.

Nothing as imbecilic as destroying those sworn to protect & defend, just for doing so!

I think you are right to worry. These NCIS deadbeats and back-biters who "leak" this stuff with impunity to their cultivated MSM cohorts should be marched in front of firing squads...but instead are given pats on the back.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the probe's results have not been released.

So why is he talking? If they are not released...maybe there is a reason like they are not good "findings" at all.

The findings have been forwarded to Central Command, which has responsibility for U.S. military operations in the Middle East and Central Asia. The case has also been referred to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service for a broader criminal inquiry, the official said.

Another official, also speaking on condition of anonymity,

What was this other guy's excuse for blabbing?

... said the initial military investigation concluded that there was a "reasonable suspicion" that the Marines violated the rules for the use of deadly force, and that crimes, possibly including homicide, may have been committed in the aftermath of the convoy being struck by a car bomb.

Damn it all to heck. I REALLY would like to see these pencil-necks in NCIS who are clearly the blabbermouths...be tasked with rifle company duty in these hot zones. Let's see how many fire-fights they get in and see whether they feel like prosecuting themselves...

And, before anyone gets around to calling Marines “extremists”—let’s get that point established too!

We’re existentially incapable of using excessive force. We’re the Good Guys ™, so everything we do is good. Those who argue otherwise must be destroyed for their insufferable treason, ingratitude, self-loathing, or what-you-will. Anyway, destroy them.

Isn’t the definition of war the application of excessive force to defeat an enemy?

I don’t understand the calibration of force on the ground when you can bomb the hell out of somebody from 30,000 feet.

This is the the reason I don't support the "War on Terror."

The "War" label doesn't apply to what we are sending our young people to do. Which is to become targets while engaging in policing duties with their hands tied behind their backs.

Let me know when the Prez decides to get serious about conducting actual "Warfare", than maybe I'll reconsider my position.

I am sorry. When someone is firing hot lead there is not such thing as excessive force in trying to make them stop!

All,

I now represent the company commander of the MARSOC company kicked out of Afghanistan for alleged use of “excessive force.” Any and all support would be appreciated. This is going to be another big, expensive case. We have to go on the offensive to get public and political support.

Semper fi,
Neal

Sir, what we, or rather PC Generals and politicians, dont understand is that this is the enemy TTP, firing from the cover of civilians. This is why they dont deserve any recognition under the Geneva Convention and is exactly why the Geneva Convention does not protect non-state, non-uniformed belligerents who do not openly expose themselves as aggressors.

They dont care and use this as an opportunity to kill us and an opportunity to gain media attention and have us prosecute our own. This is pathetic in that who will defend America? If we keep choosing the side of the enemy what then? Perhaps some of these Generals sitting high and mighty should come out and ride some convoys through these tight spaces and be shot at from within civilian cover.

We should instead be looking at this as an enemy TTP and develop a policy and commnicate it to the world; “If you use civilians as cover we will engage and the resulting deaths of innocents falls as a responsibility of the enemy”.

My point is simple, two weeks ago in Iraq, two terrorists breached a security CP because they have two children in the backseat. The then drove to their target, exited the vehicle, and detonated the car bomb with the children inside.......that is what we are dealing with on the ground.

At Kajaki Dam here in southern Afghanistan, the enemy was getting their butts handed to them by withering ground and CAS, they then used children to protect their withdrawal and to recover their dead and wounded.....that is what we are dealing with on the ground.

Benevolence and kindness from people who are not on the front lines are resulting in deaths of our most precious resource. If this enemy has such blatant disregard of life, the onus falls upon him. And now we have Marines standing trial ref Hadtiha, and the potential threat of same occuring from the engagement here in Nangrahar. Someone put some Generals on the ground and not in their pristine command headquarters.....I prefer a General like BG Roosevelt who landed with his troops on Utah Beach 6 June 1944.

Semper Fi, All the Way Sir,
Al West
