First Admendment dictates EVERYTHING is allowed on the airwaves. Now if the station wants to filter what is aired due to public outcry, that is their choice.

The Left have always wanted to get rid of Talk Radio because they can't compete in the arena of ideas. They see this episode as an opportunity.

You are correct. Al Dullton & Co. see Imus as the start, Rush, Hannity, etc. are next.

I know a lot of folk on FR aren't Imus fans, but this really isn't about Imus, it's about control of talk radio.

Any attempt to control the airwaves will probably be struck down by the USSC.

Yeah, just like they threw out the McCain-Feingold Bill.........no, wait a minute..........

They’re coming after Rush, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin. First Amendment doesn’t apply to people who don’t march to their tune, I guess.

We’d better not hold our breath for that to happen.

And now that Dems hold Congress, they’re going to bring up the Fairness Doctrine again. Republicans are going to be wandering in the wilderness again for 40 years if they don’t get some backbone and start standing up for themselves. We need some red meat or a lot of people are going to stay home.

Just like how the left wants to ban religion in the name of freedom of religion.

Sharpton sounds just like the fascist dictator, Ahmanutjob.

Only difference is that "Sharpton" is easier to spell.

Yeah, just like they threw out the McCain-Feingold Bill.........no, wait a minute..........

That is the problem, the bar for restricting free speech seems to be getting lower and lower.

There was that one notable political “cartoon” showing her as Aunt Jemina, too. We need to put up a good fight for talk radio, and make sure it gets all the way to the USSC, where I believe any of these misguided attempts to shut up the right will be struck down.

The only problem with this “dialogue”, as Sharpton says, is that he just killed the only show that would give him the platform lol.

Nobody else is going to dedicate shows to this topic except for a maimed Don Imus. I’m not worried about Rush, Savage,OReilley,Bortz etc. because I don’t think you’ll see them use real racist language. Of course the intellectually challenged Jesse Jackson and Sharpton think not being for quotas or voting for Obama makes one racist.

"Kill the white people; we gonna make them hurt; kill the white people; but buy my record first; ha, ha, ha";
"Kill d'White People"; Apache, Apache Ain't Shit, 1993, Tommy Boy Music, Time Warner, USA.

"Won't be satisfied until the devils--I see them all dead. . . . my brother is sending me more guns from down South. . . . pale face. . . . it's all about brothers rising up, wising up, sizing up our situation. . . . you be f**king with my turf when you be f**king with my race; now face your maker and take your last breadth; the time is half-past death. . . . it's the Armageddon. . . . go into the garage; find that old camouflage. . . . cracker-shooting nightly";
"What the F**k"; Brand Nubian, Everything Is Everything, 1994, Elektra Entertainment, Warner Communications, Time Warner, USA.

"He prays on old white ladies [who] drive the Mercedes with the windows cracked. . . . you should've heard the bitch screaming. . . . sticking guns in crackers' mouths. . . . the cops can't stop it. . . . remember 4-29-92, come on; Florence and Normandy coming to a corner near you, cracker; we've been through your area, mass hysteria; led by your motherf**king Menace Clan";
"Mad Nigga"; Menace Clan, Da Hood, 1995, Rap-A-Lot Records, Noo Trybe Records, Time Warner, USA.

There are many more examples even more graphic. I edited the above. The point is where is the outrage?

Where is Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?

Where are the Marxist thought police?

Where is the MSM?

Why is Time Warner given a pass for publishing this racist garbage?

I am not a racist and I don’t play one on TV, but the more I hear from The Rev Al and The Rev Jesse, and the other race baiting poverty pimps, the more I think about converting. Where do I go to get help?

If our Congressional Republicans had an ounce of sense, they would make a huge stink about the ugliness thrown at Condi, Clarence Thomas and Christians and Republicans in general.

None of the Democrats had any shame about coming out and condemning Imus, but our side of the aisle is largely silent when ugly things are said about Republicans.

I’m sick to death of it and it’s ruining our country and our party. And a lot of Republicans are so sick of the spinelessness in Washington they’re going to stay home in ‘08. I won’t, but I know some people who will.
