On the Democratic side, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has increased her lead over her nearest rival, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

In a head-to-head matchup, Giuliani's lead over McCain is now 23 points, 52 percent to 29 percent, which equals its February level. A month ago, Giuliani's advantage was down to 9 points.

With former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney added to the mix, Giuliani comes in at 47 percent, followed by McCain at 25 percent and Romney at 10 percent.

Ah, yes ... CBS. Impeccable source for news or information of any kind. I’m convinced now.

Where is all that support that was supposed to fall off from Giuliani after Republican's become more familiar with his positions? Could it be that the social conservatives are actually the ones who are out of touch?

Rudy is like Reagan in a key respect: the criticism seems to flow off him like water on a duck. Part of that is the fact that people admire and respect him; part is the fact that he is out campaigning, working very hard for the job, and people like to see that, particularly in the primary when we are trying to assess how hard a candidate will fight in the general.

Of course, I am referencing Thompson here, who is still waiting to be coronated.

Gosh, how could this be? I was just told today that Rudy’s lead is deteriorating. It sure doesn’t look like it to me.

Thanks for all your hard work this week.

That is funny because when Rudy was in the Lead in Rasmussen Freepers said that his poll was not credible. I guess it depends on who you like for president.

“Where is all that support that was supposed to fall off from Giuliani after Republican’s become more familiar with his positions? Could it be that the social conservatives are actually the ones who are out of touch? “

61% of polled Republicans didn’t want any of the top three.

I don’t think its conservatives that are out of touch.

What? Just because most polls of likely Primary voters have Rudy at 25-28% means you don’t believe a CBS news poll that has him at 79%, with a 56% lead over his nearest challenger?

Man, you’re picky!

I mean, look around you - clearly you can see than the OVERWHELMING majority of Republicans support Rudy Giuliani as their first choice, can’t you? I mean, are you blind?

Surely you can see that only the one-percent fringe would ever consider ANYONE else as their first choice besides Rudy Giuliani! I mean, who else will bring 100.000000% of the GOP vote out for him, 50% of the Democrat vote, 90% of the Moderates and Independents, and get them all to vote straight GOP tickets in every state and district in America based on the sheer strength of his personality?

I mean, CBS news is the most reliable source for news in the WORLD, and they say Rudy is up by 56%, so what’s your problem?!?!?! Can’t you see that Rudy will ALL BY HIMSELF win all three Houses - that’s TWO branches of government - back to the GOP, ALL BY HIMSELF?!?!? Can’t you admit that Rudy is simply the most unstoppable, unbeatable candidate ever, with the biggest coattails in history and more charisma than any candidate in the history of the world??!?!? Can’t you admit that nobody in America could possibly vote against him?!?!

You must be one of those purists I hear about, who won’t vote for any candidate unless they agree with 100% of everything you want, 100% of the time, with no exceptions whatsoever. You know, one of those apostates heretics who don’t worship the god-man Rudy who would never, ever vote for ANYONE except an exact clone of themselves on every issue in America, 100% of the time, no exceptions. Well, we didn't need you anyway, because you're absolutely, positively unappeasable anyway.
