"According to a new CBS News poll, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) continues to lead the Democratic presidential field, garnering 39% of the vote. Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) comes in second with 24% and former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) places third with 21%.
"On the Republican side, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) continues to enjoy a comfortable lead over the pack with 47% of the vote. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) trail with 25% and 10%, respectively."
This poll is a three way matchup, but including a "none" choice. Here is a question about other candiadates getting into the race:
q21 What other Republican would you like to see run? REP. PRIMARY VOTERS WHO WANT MORE CHOICES % Fred Thompson 11 Newt Gingrich 8 George H.W. Bush (former president) 2 Ralph Nader 2 Condoleezza Rice 2 Other 13 DK/NA 62
Predictable — you don’t consider those who post articles from far left websites, as legitimate news, shills.
So who is the real conservative, who posts from leftist sites and believes the propaganda, or someone who want to see Hillary and Democrats defeated?
You seem to be in the camp who believes as gospel truth the leftist propaganda, the objective of which is exactly to influence the gullible conservatives, split them, so Hillary can win. How naive and gullible do people have to be, not to see this?!
Rudy by the way does not support legalized gay marriage (I do, Rudy does not), and thinks guns should be a state issue.
Well, I would say Forbes was an idiot to endorse Rudy when he Thought Rudy was now for the flat tax.
“Giuliani on Flat Tax: Just Kidding “
Rudy Giuliani, fresh off winning the endorsement of Steve Forbes, now says he was just kidding when he said he thought the flat tax was a good idea.
“I didn’t favor it, I said something academic,” Giuliani said at a press
conference in Florida on Saturday, in response to a reporter asking him why he had switched from opposing a flat tax to favoring it. “What I said was, and it was not a joke, but it was half-jocular, was if we didn’t have an income tax...what would I favor?
“First I would favor no tax,” he said laughing and turning to his wife Judith, who duly smiled back. “That would be my first position. My second position would probably be a flat tax.”
But, he said, the tax “would probably not be feasible.”
Someone should tell Forbes.

Y’know what, bro? I’m not at all interested in visiting your Bizarro world, despite your constant pamphleteering for the tour. The whole “black is white, left is right, up is down” junk you keep propping up is transparent and moronic.
Just because people tire of responding to your garbage doesn’t mean that you are winning. It means that they tire of your nonsense and wish to spend their energies elsewhere.
Do you get it yet?
APf
You are correct. I should have thanked you and I now do.
I took the time to look this up for you...
“Giuliani Would Marry Gay Couple if Gay Marriages Were Legalized.”
Howard Koeppel, one of the openly gay men Giuliani lived with during the unraveling of this second marriage, said “He [Giuliani] did tell us that if they ever legalized gay marriages, we would be the first one he would do.” [New York Times, 8/04/01; Newsday (New York), 5/19/06]
Rudy would even preform the ceremony.
"If" is such a grand word in the English language isn't it? Wasn't that the name of a movie by the way?
Thank you by the way, for digging up that little factlet.
“”If” is such a grand word in the English language isn’t it? Wasn’t that the name of a movie by the way?”
It means that he has no problem with gay marriage and leaves little doubt that he would gladly sign it into law if the Rats sent it to his desk!
And there you have it.
When you use the word propaganda are you referring to things like claiming John Bolton is an advisor to the Giuliani campaign and has “de facto” endorsed Giuliani or something else?
You’re welcome.
As much as it bothers some to see the stuff, I think its better to know what is coming should he win the nomination.
I can’t see any possible way he could win the general election. There is just too much baggage that will split the base.
Some posters are more apt to fess up to a slight mis-statement than others. Most posters here by the way, never admit to making a mistake. It is just so nuetering to do so. No “conservative” wants to go there, ever, well hardly ever. Just move on to the next hill, and the next battle, in the endless war.
(Independents + discerning Dems accretion) - “base” erosion. If one knows the exact numbers to plug in, one could get rich on Intrade, and be a celebrated savant, and get on every talking head show on the Fruited Plain.
YOU are the one buying that garbage. By nominating a pro-abortion gungrabber like Rudy, the party will be split, and the Democrat liberal will be aided into power.
Independents and the “Reagan Dem’s” mostly vote Republican on the issues of abortion and guns.
Rudy offers no difference on those two issues and they are ones that are “single issue voter” issues.
A betting man would be buying shares in Fred Thompson stock today.
True, very true. Some posters, like me, take umbrage at being called “foolish” and told we’re ignoring bogus “facts”, but alas, I shall move on.
So the “Ten Percent Club” is having another tea party about how much smarter they are than everyone else, and how successful they are in developing a one party system that claims to be two.
I remember all those MSM polls trumpeting Bobdole’s candidacy. He was the only electable candidate after all, they said. Then the same MSM produced polls after the convention showing Dole losing by three times what he was really behind.
Liberal Republicanism is just that, liberal. Giuliani has nothing but being mayor of NY to commend him. He is a liberal, an elitist, and personally loathsome. He is Bloomberg with a lisp.
Be a mensch, and just plug the numbers into the equation for me now, so I can get rich with you, and buy that spread across the road from the Edwards’ pad, so I can clean it up, remove that noisome Giuliani sign (that’s what’s in it for you, incentivize, incentivize, that is American capitalism at work), and give Mrs. Edwards some peace of mind, as she battles her disease. I just want to make sure your math is right, that’s all.
one illustrative poll that Rasmussen just did.
If Michael Bloomberg got into the race as an independent, who would it benefit? Now most freepers would be saying “Bloomberg is a liberal, it would split the Dem vote”. The opposite is true:
http://rasmussenreports.com/Political%20Tracking/Dailies/April%202007/Bloomberg.htm
he siphons off Republican votes in every matchup, giving Hillary a 9 point lead.
