Understood. That is why the comment that these large clips are generally not purchased by the general public caught my attention. Ordinary clips are not traceable, but a monster clip may spark a memory for the seller.

If you READ my post, perhaps you’d notice that I even said faculty, et al (RESPONSIBLE mature adults) should be allowed to carry.

The truth is - it’s not emotional, it’s observation and “life’s school” - college kids are largely irresponsible selfish immature self-absorbed hedonists. It’s alot worse than 50 years ago.

No one? No one at all? You either need new friends, a new school, or a good firearms training session to take the mystery and fear out of them. If you would not feel comfortable carrying a gun yourself then please don't apply that criteria to everyone else. Many of the rest of us have the training, the knowledge, the will, and also government issues permits to carry concealed firearms. If you can't trust such people with guns then the problem does not lie with them. Anyone that would not trust me with a gun, I would not trust with my constitutional rights. Which is why I can't vote for any anti-gun politician.

all the school shootings that were stopped quickly were in areas that allowed the armed citizen to intervene.

The one in Pearl MS ended when a teacher ran out to his car, got his gun and put a bead on the shooter, bringing him to his knees. He held the gunman there until police arrived. It's possible his having the gun in his trunk was against the law, but I'm not sure if that 1000' from campus law had been enacted in MS.

This is a state matter and if the state needs help the feds could give it to them. All of that could be covered in a press release. By having a press conference, the white house is just opening up the debate for more gun laws.

I agree with you, but since the administration's Katrina PR debacle, I suspect they'll be holding showy press conferences everytime two sparrows collide midair.

I got that new LG EnV...it records in stereo...takes 2.0 megapixel photos and can record video for as large a memory chip you have installed. (You can only email 15 seconds of degraded video however)

Pretty much what we already know: Derick O'Dell. Shot in upper arm. Was in class, second floor. Shooter came inside classroom, shot a full round. Shooter was a young Asian male, maroon hat, black coat. Said nothing, only shot and then left. Some in critical condition. They barricaded the door to prevent shooter to come back; shooter tried to shoot door down. Shooter left. Police came inside hall, cleared them for ambulance.
