Elizabeth Hasselbeck To Rosie O'Donnell: We'll Talk At 11
Post Chronicle ^ | Apr 16, 2007 | Tashi Singh

Posted on 04/18/2007 2:38:18 AM PDT by Anti-Bubba182

Elizabeth Hasselbeck of "The View" is co-hosting "Fox & Friends" This week. And today, when she goes to assume her co-hosting duties on "The View," Elizabeth Hasselbeck is going to have a few choice words for Rosie O'Donnell.

But we'll get to that later. If you recall, cutie Kiran Chetry was canned when the William Morris Agency tried to play hardball with the Fox News Channel. Chetry was axed in favor of Gretchen Carlson.

Fox has been trying to push Carlson (albeit unsuccessfully) ever since Kiran left. They've even tried moving a few other Fox babes into the role as they watched their ratings drop-off.

Don't feel too sorry for Chetry as second-place CNN gobbled up the former Fox beauty, and she's now going head-to-head vs. FOX as the new co-host of CNN's American Morning.

Fox has been making blunder after blunder regarding their once extremely popular morning show. First it was moving E.D. Hill to make room for Carlson and then it was Kiran Chetry.

However, FOX looks to have read the writing on the wall as Gretchen has mysteriously vanished. Allison Camerotta returned to the show last week after being out on maternity leave and after several obvious failed attempts to find a suitable replacement, FOX may have found their girl in Elizabeth Hasselbeck.

Now I don't claim to know anything about Elizabeth's contract but it would seem that she may be planning to jump ship. It's no secret that she's been unhappy in her role on "The View" and at times has been the other three liberal ladies' conservative punching bag......."

Her habit of ending every statement with an interrogatory tone simply drives me up the wall.

The Valley Girl Effect. BTW, that Valley Girl accent has spread from the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles to the rest of the country. Now MILLIONS of women sound like Valley Girls.

Can blame any conservative too much for getting beat up on the lib View. I mean, it’s hard to make a point when you have three or four libs tag teaming you so that you can’t express a complete thought. And it’s a no win with Rosiehead. When you try to debate her it immediately deteriorates into a shouting match — if you want to be heard at all. And no one will hear you if they think you are losing it to a pin head like Rosiefatface.

Janice Dean is one terrific employee of Fox News. She is very versatile with doing weather, news and playing host. Fox is doing a great disservice by not utilizing Janice in the “middle” chair. Fox needs to have a male personality that Mike Garret brought to the show. With all due respect to both male “Kellys”; they are boring and not very entertaining...just my opinion....

I,too, noticed that every “ statement “ she made on Glenn's show ended as a question. This shows a lack of real thought to me. I cannot stand someone who is always looking for acceptance when ever they speak. Things are in fact black and white in most areas. I don’t need some wishy washy person giving me her “opinion “.

I don’t care if E.D is a democrat or not. At least she’s not an unreasonable rabid one. More like the original JFK democrat. She was perfect with Steve and Brian. Gretchen doesn’t have “it”. Kiran had it and would have been a decent replacement, but I can’t think of anyone else that could do it. Allyson gets on my nerves. Maybe Lauren Greene?

Kiran was the one if they wanted to replace ED. Whoever brought in Carlson screwed up.

Yes, Kiran would have been an easy transition and not awkward like Gretchen’s arrival.

E.D. Hill is a mom with 2 kids. She has said THEY were more important to her than any job at FOX. Fox even rearranged her schedule so she could care for the kids.

That is admirable, and she is still cute.

I agree. I knew E.D. was a democrat, but she had enough common sense about her to be fair and reasonable...most of the time that is.

Gretchen definitely doesn’t have “it”. She is annoying and irritating. She constantly interrupts Steve and Brian and asks the most ridiculous questions when interviewing guest sometimes. I kinda of like Allyson and think she’d be a lot better than Gretchen.

Lauren is one of my favorite gals on Fox, but she’s covering the religious news and doing religious specials for Fox now. I seriously doubt they will put her on if they get rid of Gretchen.

Page Hopkins is another one of my favorite Fox News gals. She fills in sometimes for the program. She can be very funny too, maybe too funny at times but I like her.

Fox mad a big mistake letting Chetry go. CNN is making a mistake pairing Chetry with “Barbie Doll” John Roberts.

E. D. Hill

"..She has been married three times and is the mother of five children and stepmother to her husband, venture capitalist Joe Hill's three children from a previous marriage..."

I don't by it. ED always had a lot of kids. The change of time story is a cover story IMO.

I would not be surprised if she replaces Paula Zahn when her contract is up this year.

“Hasselbeck would be just one of many “plain Janes” that Fox has tried to use lately. While she sounds assertive on FOX programs, she has been a wimp on “The View” and I certainly don’t think much of her.”

she doesn’t strike me as someone who is knowledgeable enough of the issues to put up a strong conservative defense.
I hope I’m wrong - she seems like a kind and sweet person.
But kind and sweet often doesn’t cut it.

I agree that hiring Weasel Clark was a mistake, but remember that FNC is probably trying to keep its friends close and its enemies even closer.

I want Fox to have some liberals on, especially sharing the screen with conservatives. Whenever this is done, the conservative viewpoint wins. Look at Alan Colmes for example. Even against Hannity his liberal views are shown for the drivel they are. Same thing with Juan Williams vs. Brit Hume (although Juan has taken some good positions regarding minority issues).

Don’t fight the presence of liberals. When made to stand on logic, we conservatives are the winners.
