With all the excitement surrounding the possible candidature of Fred Thompson for the GOP nomination, one question remains unclear: where does he stand on the rights of the unborn?

Is Fred Thompson pro-life? As President, would he stand up for the most defenceless of Americans?

Thompson may very well be the only true Conservative candidate if he chooses to run for the Presidency. The former Senator is pro-life, anti-gun control, pro-traditional marriage (between a man and woman), against activist judges, does not condone “special” rights for certain groups, such as gay rights, and is a firm believer in State’s rights.

Well if the quote is accurate, would the remark “The ultimate decision must be made by the women” indicate pro-choice?

Actually, not necessarily. No matter if something is illegal or immoral, in the end, individuals still have to choose to do the right thing.

You must have not been very involved in Republican politics at the time. I was a Tennessee voter too and I remember it quite clearly.
