Yeah some field trip for sure. I could hear the NASA tour guide in the background trying to settle the kids down. Cell phone call from them alerted me to the news. She wanted to know what was going on as they were not being told too much.

KPRC 2 reporter is saying Command Post in on the right side of the building (away from where suspect is thought to be). The SWAT on the otherside of the building are very alert in their movements.
KPRC is NOT showing the actual movements of SWAT on the ground.
When I saw the headline, my first thought was “Where is Lisa Nowak?”
In terms of the law, JSC *is* a Fed military base.
I believe the property actually belongs to Rice University, or used to.
KPRC 2 reporter says he thinks this will be over within 30 minutes, as the SWAT are moving.
In another part of the campus, they (officials) are setting up microphones in prepartion for a news conference.
Traffic on the regular highways and streets are running normally (which isn’t saying much for this time of day in Houston).
They have a long ride ahead to North Louisiana tonight. So still praying for a safe trip home and some extra hugs when they arrive. Thanks all for the well wishes.
