Thanks so much.

Wow... Kevin Davis - the consummate professional. What an amazing individual and a fabulous representative for the Navy and for the Blue Angels. The perfect person for those demo rides. Just wow.

And Earnhardt gets a pretty big wow too! Good on you Jr.

A memorial service for friends and family will be held on Saturday.

The Davis family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made instead to the Make A Wish Foundation in honor of Blue Angel #6.

.... I’ve also learned the Kevin was a HUGE Red Sox Fan. I am considering cheering for them this year ... but that would be very difficult for a Yankee fan.

Blue Skies.

Is there going to be a service that the public can attend? If so, can you post or Freemail the details?

From LtCmdr Davis’ Hometown Newspaper - A Memorial Service will be held this Friday in Pittsfield, MA

http://www.berkshireeagle.com/ci_5747597)

Wednesday, April 25
PITTSFIELD — Mayor James M. Ruberto announced that a memorial service for U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis will be held Friday, 11 a.m., on the steps of City Hall
Davis, a Pittsfield native, was killed Saturday when the F/A-18 Hornet jet he was piloting crashed during a Blue Angels air show in Beaufort, S.C.

Although the event is still in the planning stage, speakers at the memorial service would possibly include Davis’s friends and former teachers, according to John Krol, spokesman for the mayor’s office.

In case of rain, the event will be held in City Council chambers, Krol said.

Since this was in the local paper - I assume it is open to the public.

I’m not a chief. Not quite sure why you called me that, but I don’t want to leave the impression that I am in the military.

That’s great Air Force PR kool aid which, as usual, doesn’t have much to do with reality. Those pilots still need to be requal’d on ordinance delivery which will take much longer than 72 hours.

Do you kick puppies and push little old ladies in the street too?

Steal candy from little kids on halloween?

oooohhh what a manly man you must be.

I bet your momma is proud.

Look at my post #520 again. Where does it say the pilots are combat-ready in less than 72 hours?

"If required, the team's personnel and aircraft can be rapidly integrated into a fighter unit at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Since the aircraft are only slightly modified, they can be made combat-ready in less than 72 hours."

Well at least this time you didn't confuse the "Blues" with the Thunderbirds.

Blue Angels practiced today for the first time since accident.

5 Jets only.

After the practice - the Tbirds... performed a missing man flying over.
