Parents should get their kids out of public schools and make their own choices.

Oddly enough, parents of these kids did take them out of the public school system and placed them in this situation. They did choose a pro-gay private school - so is this child-abuse? who brings the charges?

I agree that the kids don’t understand what is going on. One equates homosexuality to being open minded like when you don’t want to try a certain vegetable and then you do and you find out it’s okay. Yeah, he understands homosexuality completely.

I would tell the poster to read the first chapter of Romans and explain the last five verses. I would also explain that God loves him but he needs to seek help in turning away from homosexuality. Start with Exodus International.

The Quakers have sure strayed a long way from their rooots, haven’t they?

Does anyone know the history of how and when they started straying? When did the "Society of Friends" begin to become ultra liberal?

I know they have been pacifist for a long time, but I doubt they would have supported gays back as far as the 1800's. At that time, they were guided by their faith, not a perverse social agenda.

The quakers have always been super liberal. They main issues in the 1800's were treatment of the mentally, the abolition of slavery and the humane treatment of prisoners.

In the context of their earlier efforts their attempts to mainstream homosexuality really aren't that out of place IMO. (please don't take these as *my* personal beliefs BTW).

This is not really unusual at all. Indoctrination of children by "gay" activists has been growing fast. It's a growth industry. Note the "Day of Silence" all over PUBLIC schools now. If anyone thinks that since their child is in high school and won't be exposed to this, they are fooling themselves. Kids, including high school age ones, are indeed influenced by mass culture [sic], peer pressure and teachers who promote the homosexual (and the libertine in general) agenda. Keep your kids at home or in a reputable private school. You will be glad you did.

I pity them, and completely repudiate their goals of indoctrination.

Having the orientation is one thing; you might compare it to a tendency towards sloth or gluttony. Acting on it, and repenting is another. But proclaiming it as a "lifestyle" to be celebrated, with acceptance backed by the full force of the state, seems to be to be inconsistent with penitence.
