Would YOU resist?

I would! In a heartbeat! I prefer men, actually! And my kids are grateful!

Hi, NL!

How are things? It would be nice if we had this for our May home. ;o]

Newt’s district was mostly in Cobb, as was Bob Barr’s. I think Newt’s was the 6th and Barr’s was the 7th, but I might have those reversed.

NAH, JUST DIDN’T USE SPELLLLL CHECK OR CAPITALIZE PROPERLY.
(Also, assumed my deep thoughts were properly placed in news/activism. Turned out I was mistaken. LOL)

Hi Monkey Face!

Things are going great! I've had to work some OT lately, so I've not been playing on the UD Thread as much as I would like.

I've decided to take another stab at playing the guitar (you can easily and accurately imagine Mrs NL visibly cringing here). I can't seem to quite give up chess (or any of my other diversions) either, so the days fly by.

I've noticed that I am wasting a good 4-5 hours every night just sleeping, so I'm trying to see what I can do about that. I can get by on 3 hrs/night for a month or so and then just crash for some reason...go figure...

Maybe I need to find stronger coffee!!

Then there is the ever-popular challenge of trying to beat Pookie18's "Today's 'toons" ping in the mornings. He starts pretty early this time of year.

LOL! Which is why we use the term, “Undead Thread!”

Morning, rottie!

Just outside Atlanta.

For certain values of "just outside." Kennesaw is "just outside" Atlanta like Newark is "just outside" Manhattan.

When I was a kid, Kennesaw was a day trip. We'd pack a picnic basket with some cold fried chicken and potato salad, and hike to the top of the mountain.

Kennesaw Mountain is a big Appalachian foothill, and was a key hold point in the Atlanta campaign during the War of Northern Aggression. It, and the surrounding territory, are a national battlefield park. It's a nice day hike, enough to get your blood going, have a picnic up top, and then walk back down. Stop by the plaques and historical displays on the way.

Back to the point, Kennesaw was an excursion when I was a kid. Now it's a commute. That's sprawl in a nutshell.

I never had enough coordinated fingers to play the guitar. I wasn’t too bad on the violin and ukelele, but the guitar had too many strings!

And I haven’t played chess since I beat Igor three games in a row, 25 years ago. Of course, that was after he beat me every game for nine years...

Wasting time sleeping is understandable. Before I got sick, I usually made it on six hours or less, because there were just so MANY things to do!

It’s good to know you’re still among the Undeaders, though! I think I’ll be pinging a little later this morning, so look for it.

OT is good...I mean, as long as it’s double-time-and-a-half for holidays. That the only time you’re paid what you’re really worth! ;o]
