I support Giuliani, and he hasn’t punished me.

Forget it, he's on a roll

you don’t think conservatives will vote for a conservative candidate if he’s the only choice between a Pubbie and a Dem?”

That's not what I meant. I just think that if we had a viable conservative candidate we could all rally around, he would get the nomination. The problem is, none of Rudy's competitors are ginning up any excitement. We need a new conservative face - someone who can excite the young generation of voters. These recycled GOP candidates (McCain, Gingrich) just aren't going to do it. I may agree with Duncan on just about everything, but he is sorely lacking in charisma.

a fact that has not escaped the attention of the left-wing lunatics at Daily Kos. Their reporting on what has been going on at FR is perhaps the first factually true account published on their site.

I read the kos piece and it was nothing but recycled Clown Posse bull$hit. Says a lot about what you think is factual.

“MAKE MY DAY. BAN ME. I DARE YOU.”

“I would, for posting a vanity that belongs in the threads on this subject. Self importance?”

If he objects to what is going on, why is he here? His thread is filled with ad hominem self-righteous attacks he claims others have leveled against those who support Guiliani.

I detect 99%BS.

Well Al was pretty stupid by insulting Jim this way. Jim had a (strong) Op-Ed piece about Rudy. He has never censored anyone here so far as I know. The Rudybots are a vocal crowd. And apparently a sensitive crowd too.

I don’t post a lot here on FR, but I will point his out to you, and others who are reading this thread.

For there to be a conservative movement, conservatives must discuss and debate. FR is the premier discussion site on the net for conservatives.

I don’t favor Giuliani. He is way more liberal than I like.

But, if he wins the nomination, I’ll vote for him over Hillary, Obama, Edwards or any other Democrat every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Then, on Monday morning I’ll start looking for a more conservative option than Giuliani.

Getting mad, picking up your ball, and going home will insure one thing - The Conservative Movement will falter and socialists like Hillary Clinton will ru(i)n this country.

Ideologically they have already crossed over.

Someone will get the nomination. I will go out on a limb and guarantee that. This is the pre-primaries period of the process. By about ten months. Now is the time to voice who you would prefer to be the candidate. Once the candidate is selected, 18 months from now, and he turns out to be a stomach turning liberal, then it would make sense to lobby for him under the "at least he's not a Dem" banner. Now it just shows that you either have no faith in conservatism or don't like it.

I remember Jim’s post about Rudy. I replied to him that I was probably going to vote for Rudy. Apparently, Jim did not think that merited any kind of response on his part.

If you don’t like conservatives that don’t like liberals, may I suggest the Log Cabin Republicans or Republicans for Choice.
