It's extremely long, but I've decided to read the whole thing because this is an important event in FR. The bottom line so far (I'm almost at post #2000) is that JimRob has decided that although Rudy supporters who will admit that he's profoundly liberal are allowed on the forum, those who lie about Rudy's positions in an attempt to prove that he's conservative are not. In addition, attempting to equate Rudy's pro-abortion position with President Reagan's one-time signing of a limited abortion bill in 1967, which he soon regretted and spent the rest of his life fighting, is not acceptable.
So far in the thread, both quidnunc and Peach have gotten themselves banned, and in my judgment, having thread the posts carefully, they brought it on themselves. I know some FReepers are upset about losing Peach, and I urge everyone to read the thread up to post #1700, so you can make your own judgment about it.
