The States can form their own militias (and militia reserves) to deal with state disasters. Of course, the States would must arm them, provide armories, and provide equipment and maintenance. But — they can never be taken away (or depleted) by the Feds.

Alternately, that is what State Troopers, County Sheriffs, and Municipal Police and Fire are. Quasi-military, but not really "troops".

I don’t trust democrap governors with quasi military forces regardless. They already use state troopers to raise revenue...

yo Arnoooolllld....SUCK IT UP!!...girly boy

grow a spine and stop listening to your whinny advisor's.
Get out from under that liberal security blanket and get your pansy a**ed state workers prepared for ANY unforeseen
emergency. You have a highway collapse and you’d think half the state fell into the pacific. If you need an example of how people handle things, look to the John Deere dealer in Kansas who lost his dealership and still plans on paying HIS people up to a year by UTILIZING MANPOWER!!!...you cupcake strudel eating pantie snapper.

First, the National Guard is military and not a unit of state DOT’s so F them.

Second, I still, to this day, LAUGH MY A** OFF at all the “Awnold lovers” that thought he was the second coming of Jesus for California!

Fools!

I love the idea, but if it’s a division of Hom. Sec., it would necessarily be a Federal agency. The rights of states to form and arm militias without Federal interference is already guaranteed in the Second Amendment; the states would just have to pass constitutional amendments mandating their organization. This is a state-by-state campaign, not a national one. If you want to organize something, I’d be happy to help here in Missouri.

hmmm...I will just say that Governors who do not understand T10, T32, State Active Duty, and the realationship between these statuses are doing their constituents a disservice. I am a veteran of the 2d battle of New Orleans, and saw this up close.

In other words, these governors are "STUCK ON STUPID"!
