Asian immigrants simply have a desire to assimilate into american culture. THey actually want to be americans and not some stupid a$$ hyphenated american. That leaves out black american males because hip hop and gang bangers and al sharpton types go to great pains to shun americana and be a burden to society. No one wants anything to do with hip hop. He11, even black women and black immigrants want nothing to do with hip hop and african-american males immersed in that sick diseased culture. Mexicans and orientals want even less to do with them.
This hyper desire to assimilate also happened with irish and german immigrants. My grandmother who was part irish shunned her irish ancestry and actually denied it. She was darned near ashamed of it. She was a WASP and any talk otherwise was fightin words to her. That sounds strange today, but it is true.
The reason asian women can’t explain their desire for a white man is simply because it’s embarrassing to explain why your own kind is undesirable to you.
There is also the strange phenomena of mixed race children being more attractive than their relatively racially pure parents. I chalk it up to “hybrid vigor”. Look it up for a description of what it is. I know a little about animal breeding, and it is a well documented fact that pure breed puppies are less intelligent and less healthy than f1 hybrids(first generation hybrids of parents of two separate pure breeds). However, I don’t know why white genes and chinese genes combine so well compared to other racial mixes. They just seem to go together like peas and carrots.
Most examples of beautiful oriental women that white guys like to cite as examples of oriental beauty are actually rarely oriental. They are usually f1 hybrids of mongoloid-caucasian mixed ethnicity or even f3 or back crossed to white...meaning greater than 50% white for those of you not familiar with animal cross breeds.
There was a time when europeans considered american women to be of superior beauty to their own women. THe belief was basically that there was a sprinkling of native american blood in american whites that “improved” the breed. The native american race is very similar to oriental. So it’s the same phenomena as whites mixing with chinese. BTW, it was also a common belief among african americans that blacks with a small amount of native american blood were of superior beauty to those without it. Just a coincidence? NO, not likely.
The desire to assimilate has a lot to do with Asian ladies’ attraction for white men. In addition, women in general are attracted to money and power. Asian ladies are particularly (shall we say) pragmatic about such things. If a guy seems good in other ways, being white is an additional evidence of money and power, or a greater prospective chance of these things. But there are other factors at work, too. Several Asian women I’ve dated have said Asian guys tend to be too short. Also that Asian guys tend to be less romantic, less sensitive, less communicative, and less likely to treat them as equals.

While would argue that you were a bit harsh with your comment—and those other people gave plenty of valid points, agree with you that assimilation could be a strong part of it. As another freeper mentioned, the motive may not be for themselves but for their children and their posterity. There has been a decent number of Americans of Asian descent since the Californian Gold Rush in 1948, and yet (even on this thread) Americans are considered to be of only European or African (and occasionally Amerindian—there are so few of them) descent. Americans of Asian descent who have no non-American accent, whose families who have been here in some cases for generations, and earlier than many ‘white’ American families still have to put up with people asking them what country they are from (i.e. an Asian country). On this thread, one freeper contrasts ‘Asians’ and ‘American’ women; another ‘Americans’ and ‘Mexicans.’ American runs the gambit from very dark to very light. Hopefully, there will be the realization that this is the case, so people can marry people they love rather than people who will help their children look more ‘American.’
A friend of mine is married to a female with a Phlip mom & white dad (F1). 5'6", long black hair, thin frame - he got some store boughts for her (I swear they're Ds) to complete the picture.
She's a real head-turner - tight-tight tops, short-short skirts + heels. He's always got a sh!t eating grin on his face.

You have your opinion, I have mine, other people have theirs. Why do you need to insult every single person who puts out the earlier opinions instead of just state your own and add to the thread. Why do you need to put others down before you can state your opinion? If your opinion is that much more slam-dunk than the others, you ought to have confidence that the facts will speak for themselves. You don’t need to start off by insulting others - in fact, it’s a very bad way of trying to convince someone.

If your name was O'Flaherty and you fought and bled for the Union in the Irish Brigade, you had to be ashamed of your Irish heritage in other to be considered a "real American" like those Anglo-Saxon Protestants that had English ancestry and English surnames?
Should the memorial to the dead of the Irish Brigade that died for the Union at Gettysburg, dedicated on July 2, 1888, have been less "Irish" so that they would not be considered "some stupid a$$ hyphenated americans"?
Should Joe DiMaggio have changed his name to "Joe Harrington" and denied he was Italian in order to be considered more "American"?
Maybe your grandmother's shame at her Irish ancestry had to do with how Irish were viewed at the time by the WASPs in America.
The Irish were routinely caricatured in nationwide publications such as Harper's Weekly as ignorant, violent drunks with ape-like faces.
And don't even bring up how the WASPs saw how the Catholics were polluting the American Republic.
Maybe your great-great-grandfather was one of those gallant Union soldiers that proudly gave his life for America at Gettysburg under both Old Glory and the green battle flag of the Irish Brigade that honored their Irish heritage.
Maybe, yelling the Irish Brigade's battle cry of "faugh a ballagh" ("clear the way"), he distinguished himself at the Wheatfield at Gettysburg with the rest of the Irish Brigade in that battle that saved the United States of America making him as much of a "real American" as you can possibly be.

But, who knows? Since he was not a WASP celebrating his English ancestry, your grandmother thought he was therefore not a "real American" and denied he ever existed.
By denying him, she then "assimilated". Maybe she changed her name from "O'Flaherty" to a more "American" name like "Jones" or "Wilson".
And, in doing so, she lost her real American heritage.
Denying the heritage of your ancestors does not make you more "American". It only makes you unworthy of your ancestors.
Thus a supposed 'mix' between one people group and another isn't bound to produce a markedly more intelligent child. However, as the Time magazine reporting freeper pointed out, the child, being closer to the actual racial average* could be perceived as more physically attractive.

The reason Asian women prefer ANYONE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY is that they really, really want to leave their own country, esp. those countries which are Communist.

The second reason is the same reason that the world’s oldest profession is the world’s oldest profession - dinero, pure and simple. I’ve seen it happen too many times; sad to watch if you like the Westerner involved.
