Westboro Baptist Cult to Protest Jerry Falwell’s Funeral

Westboro Baptist Church is at it again, this time planning a protest of Jerry Falwell's funeral.

Westboro Baptist Church (WBC Chronicles - Since 1955) 3701 SW 12th St. Topeka, Kansas 66604 785-273-0325 GodHatesFags.com Religious Opinion and Bible Commentaw on Current Events Tuesday, May 15,2007 NEWS RELEASE
WBC to picket the funeral of Rev. Jerry Falwell - at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia -in religious protest and warning: "God is not mocked!,, Gal. 6:7. God Hates Fags! & Fag-Enablers! Ergo, God hates Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, and all such Arminian heretic preachers - from fundamentalist evangelicals to openly gay Episcopalians and pedophile Catholics - all of whom have created the Satanic Sodomite Zeitgeist wherein America has irreversibly gone the way of Sodom.

There is little doubt that Falwell split Hell wide open the instant he died. The evidence is compelling, overwhelming, and irrefragable. To wit:

  1. Falwell was a true Calvinistic Baptist when he was a young preacher in Springfield, Missouri; and sold his soul to Free-Willism (Arminianism) for lucre.

  2. Falwell bitterly and viciously attacked WBC because of WBC9s faithful Bible preaching - thereby committing the unpardonable sin - otherwise known as the sin gainst the Holy Ghost.

  3. Falwell warmly praised Christ-rejecting Jews, pedophile-condoning Catholics, money-grubbing compromisers, practicing fags like Mel White, and backsliders like Billy Graham and Robert Schuler, Etc. All for lucre - making him guilty of their sins.

It appears many liberals in this country have more in common with Fred Phelps and his cronies then they were aware. They both hated Jerry Falwell, and they will use his death as an opportunity to make a political statement.

I implore Mike Gallagher to not offer these people air time in exchange for cancelling their protest as he did in the aftermath of the Virginia Tech shootings.

That is a somewhat odd phraseology, even as if God slipped a blessing in when Phelps intended a curse. It would be quite apropos to say that Jerry Falwell split wide open the grip of Hell upon his fallen created human nature, as he entered into the blessed presence of the Lord. The biblical imagery at which Phelps apparently grasped but missed, is that Hell had opened its mouth without limit.

Save yourselves the mental effort of trying to figure out the theological differences between Falwell and Phelps.

There will be TV cameras at Falwell’s funeral.

End of discussion.

I would call the Phelpsholes publicity whores, but that would be a gross disservice to actual whores. At least prostitutes are honest about what they offer for the dollar, and they don’t seek publicity for it.

But really you have to wonder if those Westboro people are even sane.

I don't have to wonder. It's a straightforward no.

Come and picket me, Fred. Dare ya. I'll have a dozen pshrinks on hand to tell your flock how your obsession is a result of your own repressed homosexuality. A dozen theologians to tell you how your bile-spitting nastiness is un-Christian. A dozen lawyers to explain the meanings of terroristic threats and harrassment. Come get some, Fred, you self-loathing faggot so filled with self-hate that your outer appearance has come to resemble your pathetically withered soul.

I don't hate you, Fred, because you're not worth the energy it takes to hate. I can only pity you. When it comes your time to die, which won't be long, I'll look back on you like I do the bug guts on the bottom of my shoe -- "Shame he couldn't have been something useful." And with that benediction, I'll wipe you off on the curb. Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, slime to slime.

Who, in this strange cult of loons, dreams this stuff up? What convoluted imaginations they have! If not for the unhappy event that precipitates it all, I’d laugh.

"Phelps is simply a hate-filled, nasty little creep who deliberately inflicts as much misery as possile on anyone he perceives as getting in the way of his hate cult." And on top of all that, he's really scary looking.(shudder)

Does this Westboro CULT do anything besides protest at funerals?
Has anyone offered them a nice refreshing Koolaid while they protest?

P.S. I didn’t have a clue as to what it was until I looked it up.

Arminianism is at core the Protestant reformulation of standard Catholic teaching and was expressed in response to the most extreme forms of the predestinarian "God not only foresaw Adam's sin but decreed that it should happen" cult arising from Calvinism.

But really you have to wonder if those Westboro people are even sane. What do they stand for? They couldn’t hurt their so-called causes more if they tried.

They seem to be extreme Leftists posing as right-wingers in order to make the Right look bad.

Notice that they use anti-gay slurs at military and conservative funerals, yet we never hear of any gay rights group going after the Westboro crowd. If a real conservative said 1% of what they said, ACT-UP would be spray-painting their homes, if not burning them down. And for people who are allegedly anti-gay, they never do anything at any "gay pride" event.

Westboro is to Christianity what Wahabism is to Islam.

Well, er, a, maybe that isn’t a good analogy as I’m convinced more and more daily that 90% of muzzies are radicals.

This poses an interesting question. When one from Armenia accepts the Arminian/Wesleyan doctrine of a free and full salvation open to all, is he an Armenian Arminian or an Arminian Armenian?

The Dalai Lama is outraged (well, a trifle annoyed) by his non-mention.

It’s worth noting that the ultra-left doesn’t direct their anger at the buffoons of Christianity like the Westboro crowd, but at people like Falwell who simply speak their mind and let the chips fall where they may.

Why? Because he was right most of the time.

Sure, sometimes he stuck his foot in his mouth. But simply saying the Bible is true and we need to measure things by the standards of scripture is NOT something for which a person should be equated with Hitler. One site I read regularly (just so I can see what the left is thinking) had a list of quotes up by Hitler and Falwell. You were supposed to figure out who said what.

There are some in the ultra-left who view Falwell as the Christian counterpart to Osama Bin Ladin.

These are the lengths the left is willing to go to in order to get their insane points across.

Well, if Falwell had no free will then it's hardly fair to blame him in the matter, is it?

It’s OK. Liberty University is private property protected by their own police force with vested authority to arrest people. This is not the first time LU has faced an outsider protest. Fred Phelps and his culture of hate won’t be there long.
