No single event of the 20th century touched more Americans more profoundly than the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963. Nearly 1,000 books have been written about this case, almost all arguing for some conspiracy or another.
The most recent Gallup poll (in 2003) revealed that 75 percent of Americans believe Kennedy's murder was the work of a conspiracy.
Can any one book quiet all doubts, refute all theories, end the speculation forever?
Vincent Bugliosi's Reclaiming History:

The new nook seems like it’s worth reading, but I will always believe it was a mob hit.
And here I was thinking it was Hendrix playing the Star-Spangled Banner at Woodstock!
A couple of male models shot Kennedy from the grassy knoll.
Bugliosi’s “Helter Skelter” was one of the best books I ever read.
It was made into a pretty good movie too.
Bugliosi was the Prosecutor and Jerry Spense was the defense attorney defending Oswald. Bugliosi was relentless in presenting all the evidence and destroyed all the conspiracy defenses Spense through up to confuse and create doubt.
Much of the evidence presented, like actual autopsy photos of Kennedy was graphic and I was surprised they would be shown in public. Bugliosi was brilliant and the jury voted to convict Oswald.
I used to be a big conspiracy buff, but I now believe Oswald did it. I don’t need to read a new book to convince me of it. Once you realize that most of the conspiracy theories are based on falsehoods, half-truths or assumptions, you are left with Oswald in the Schoolbook Depository.
He was on the Howie Carr (local radio) talk show today. An understatement would be to label the author “confident.”
Wellllllllllll...I don’t really remember that from the book (I read it a loooong time ago but might have to re-read it now) but I know it was in the movie. I always thought it was for dramatic effect.
Hey Vincent, Charlie Manson did it!/sarcasm on.
Hey if modern forensics can shed light on this fine. But I doubt we will ever know. The Warren Commission is probably all that will ever be. And I don’t think it found the truth.

Bugliosi’s prosecution of Manson was brilliant. It was very challenging to get a jury in 1970 to believe Manson’s deranged plan to incite a race war. Today, no theory is beyond the pale. But back then, it seemed ludicrous. But “The Bug” put together a case in which the unthinkable was proven.
He also wrote a great book on the Nicole Simpson murder. Too bad he didn’t prosecute that case!
A friend and I do a lot of target shooting. We shoot all kinds of vegetables known to man. When shooting from the front, very little residue comes forward,if any.Why was Jackie attempting to retrieve parts of JFK’s head from the trunk of the car?I know the driver sped up,but he would have had to be going very fast for that part of his anatomy to be on the trunk lid.If he was shot from the back, all of his anatomy should be going forward. If in doubt,go shoot some veggies.Or watch the Sharpshooters on the Discovery Channel.I laugh when I see people try and explain it.Do your own test.If you shoot a watermelon from the back, see what the results are.Don’t worry, you won’t get splattered.
Why don't you download and watch the following videos:
First melon shot
and
Second melon shot
For those who don't download the videos, two melons are shot and in both cases the melon falls back towards the shooter. This is due to the "jet effect" phenomenon was first suggested, and experimentally demonstrated by physicist Luis Alvarez.
Also, as Bugliosi noted in his book, in the PBS trial, and elsewhere, the initial movement of the head is forward for about 1 frame of the Zapruder film. The head then snaps back as one would expect either from the jet effect.
Case Closed.
At the very least, Specter deserves the title of "Mr. Coveritup"...
"Scottish law", indeed! (and I'm a Scot...)
