Freepers,

This note was received by the former president of the Gold Star Mothers, forward by one of the Vietnam Veterans Groups.

If there are any freepers that have skill in tracing IP addresses and might be able to help track down this charming fellow, please freepmail me privately.

This is just one message, apparently others have taken on a directly threatening tone.

On the one hand, I write much of it off to the general craziness of this bunch, on the other hand, as Freepers and the Gathering of Eagles folks continue to FINALLY directly address these folks, I do worry about the safety of folks.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Judith Young, Past National President of the American Gold Star Mothers, received the email below. She has asked for some supporters to respond to the "thoughtful" comments by Mark Melancon.

I had thought of forwarding this to some of the mothers so they could give him a piece of their mind but decided not to. Thought maybe some of the veterans in your organizations would like to give him a piece of their mind and some grief with a flood of emails.

Puhleeze, offering comfort to mothers whose children were killed while fighting an illegal war. NEVER.

Those fools got exactly what they deserved and I can only hope and pray that the tears of their mothers will form a flood of biblical proportions but NEVER find any comfort. solace or peace.

If these "mothers" were truly concerned with their childs welfare, then they would have protested sending them to fight in an illegal war. THEY DIDN"T and GOT WHAT THEY DESERVE.

I hope this mother's day and every subsequent one will reopen the wounds and overwhelm these stupid bitches so that they end up taking their own pathetic and worthless lives!!!

Sorry to disagree with you, but this horrible claptrap was directed directly to an individual. "Freedom of Speech" applies to the right to be free of government censure. This is a personal attack, directed to an individual. There's no right to do such a thing, and personally, I hope this POS is caught, and publicized nationally, and his or her group associations made public. And it would be nice to see this person fired from his or her job as well. Just anything to ruin this person's life would be a nice thing to see.

I can't FReepmail you, but there's a whole bunch of tools you can use to trace an IP.

1) Start with this : http://www.ip-adress.com/
2) Then you can do a DNS (server lookup) too and a Trace Route.
3) Google IP lookup and Trace Route. More tools will come up. And on the FR Home Page - over at the left there's a link for 'iTools'.

In the header of that email there will be the ISP and the IP address of this moron.
