Psalm 84:4

Blessed are they that dwell in Thy house;
they will be still praising Thee.

TOPICS: Culture/Society; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: pray; presidentbush; troops; victory
Holy Father,

The highest heavens belong to You, the Maker of heaven and earth. We are thankful that You remember us and bless us, for we extol You, Lord, both now and forevermore. We who fear You trust in You, for You are our help and shield. We give thanks to You, Lord, for You are good and Your steadfast love endures forever.

We commit ourselves to being obedient to Your Word in which You tell us to pray for our leaders and our government officials. Father, help us to never forsake our prayers for our President, for You use our petitions to perform mighty acts in his life. You have chosen him for the purpose of leading a nation---indeed, the world; and You are using his example to witness to people around the world. Father, we acknowledge our hurt and anger toward those who continuously denounce him, second-guess him, underestimate him, deride his faith, and lie about his intentions. Hear our cries for our President, Lord, and by Your mercy, please grant tremendous victory in Iraq. Father, defend Your servant, George W. Bush. Help him to find favor with the American people and restore their support for his leadership. Please help him to continue to do what is right and just, for this is more acceptable to You than sacrifice. For Your Name’s sake, O Lord, preserve his life; in Your righeouseness, bring him out of every trouble. In Your unfailing love, please silence the enemies of freedom and liberty.

Father, we mourn for the all American military women who died in Iraq this past month and we pray for Your comfort and peace to surround their families. We know that You are a shield for all our military people and we pray that in these days when they hear criticism and discontent verbalized about the war, that You would strengthen their resolve and grant them tremendous success. We do all sincerely pray that they will come home in victory at the appointed time.

Father, we sometimes become distracted by the rancor and vitriol of the political climate in this nation. We see our beloved country being turned into an unrecognizable confluence of competing priorities and agendas. We ask You, our Master, to restore that which has been lost in some: our love for You, our obedience to You, and our desire to make You Lord of this nation. Heal us, Father. Raise up for us prayer warriors who will stand in the gap for our beloved America. We are confident that You are able to answer these prayers in tremendous and mighty ways, for You are the King---the Alpha, the Omega----the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father. Let us bow before You in humble obedience because You have given us the privilege so to do. Yes Lord, You have given us the privilege so to do. In the Name of Jesus Christ, let us never turn our backs on such a precious gift. Amen.

Hear our cries for our President, Lord, and by Your mercy, please grant tremendous victory in Iraq. Father, defend Your servant, George W. Bush.

Standing in Heartfelt Agreement with you, Sister Faith. Our Lord Grant All your Petitions Before His Holy Throne.

'Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul:
They have not set God before them. Selah.
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
I will freely sacrifice unto thee:
I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
For he hath delivered me out of all trouble:
And mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.' (Ps.54)

Amen, may it be So, our Awesome and Mighty Redeemer. To You, King Jesus, be All Glory and Praise Forevermore, amen.

Prying with you Faith.

“What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there.

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion there.”

Amen, Faith.

Father, we acknowledge that You are love itself. In that acknowledgement, we come. We receive Love. We receive Your goodness. We receive Your ability, mercy and grace for our President, his family, staff and this land You established. Lord God Almighty, conform it all according to Your will. We simply trust You with the childlike faith that brought us originally into Your Kingdom because we know You love us.

Amen.

"Pray for President Bush"

OK, here goes.

Dear Lord,

Please move the heart of President Bush to stop allying with Sen. Ted Kennedy in support of an immigration bill that would destroy the Republican Party and undermine the future of the United States.

If the president isn't willing to stop supporting this bill, Lord, please encourage him to resign.

Finally, Lord, please prevail on the president to stop attacking the conservative Republicans who are opposing this monstrous legislation.

Amen.

Agreed in this:

Dear Lord,

Please move the heart of President Bush and all those entrusted with our nation’s safety, security, defense and lawfulness!

Lord,

Show President Bush the error of his ways. Remove the scales from his eyes that prevent him from seeing how harmful his immigration bill will be. Soften the hardness of heart he is displaying toward conservatives who oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Help him to understand that America's future is jeopardized by his plan to reward lawlessness.

AMEN
