“We’re going to have to install micro-chips in people so cops can find them no matter what. We do it for pets, why not children?”

er.... the chips in pets are only used for identifying the pet, not finding them. I think you are confused.

That’s all you can do.

If the world is getting violent, it might be well to look out for each other, travel in somewhat unassailable groups, don’t go to the mall alone unless you are the meanest sob in the valley.

Another girl similar to Kelsey has recently gone missing in the same area. I haven’t heard an update, but am reading FReeper comments that he could turn out to be the perp in that case, too.

I’ll say this much. Somebody in his circle of family and friends KNEW there was something wrong with him. I guarantee you. Now, did they KNOW he was a potential psycopathic murderer. Oh of course not...nobody who is close to someone like that EVER dares to predict such a thing. But you’ll notice that others, who come in contact with them or observe them over the years from when they are children to young adulthood will candidly tell you that when they find out they did something like this, THEY are not surprised.

I know from first hand, a criminal type I went to a private school with and rode the same school bus with and went to the same church as his family, whom I would’ve predicted would turn that way, later did indeed commit a serious, violent felony. And when I knew this guy would turn out this way, he was in the SIXTH grade.

People need to be educated about seeking some kind of intervention for young people who show the signs they are headed for serious deviancy.

Kelsey.

Such a beautiful, vibrant girl. Seems to come from a good, close knit family. Graduated a few days ago. Had a nice boyfriend who was waiting with her parents at their home for her to come back from Target so they could go out. Planned to study pre-Veterianarian in college then become a Vet. Obviously loved animals. Grabbed in broad daylight in a Target store parking lot. Assaulted and murdered and body dumped. The All American girl brutalized and snuffed out by an All American scumbag loser psychopath.

It gets to me, WestCoastGal. It’s nearly more than I can stand.

“So I don’t think you can make this a racial thing.”

Racists can make anything into “a racial thing”. It’s all they think about.

Why aren’t the Feds charging him under the Federal Kidnap/Murder statute that would allow for the death penalty? Just curious.

I wish we would have sent them to self defense classes instead.

Two quick tips for women:

When grabbed around the throat, grab one of the attacker's fingers and pull back hard.

When grabbed from behind, bend your leg and then kick back hard against your attacker's knee or shin.

Those are excellent tips. Now, if society could only recognize the increasing number of pyschopaths (who oft times wear a mask of sanity and normalness) in their midst.

I pray this creep is the guilty party. If so, he's not very smart. Shopping center parking lots are always under surveillance.

They do make GPS collars for pets that track their location and other useful data. Not sure of the range, though.

I have a daughter just a few years younger. I’m thinking power tools.

I have 2 daughter one older, one younger than Kelsey. My oldest daughter graduated from the same high school 2 years ago.

But to your remark, power tools are too good for him. I'm thinking manual tools, rusty and dull. Power tools are too quick.

Oh yeah, throwing the keys is a great thing, if someone is trying to force you into your own car, or for you to drive them somewhere. Another trick taught me by a friend, is to always carry my keys so that they are in between each of my fingers, pointing out; kind of like brass knuckles, but spiky. May not hold anyone off, but might startle someone and hurt enough to loosen their grasp so you can get some distance away.

“They do make GPS collars for pets that track their location and other useful data. Not sure of the range, though.”

Collars, obviously, would be useless against kidnappers. A few years ago an urban legend in Mexico caused kidnappers to cut up their victims in a pointless search for locater chips. They were too stupid to realize that no such technology had yet been invented.

Apparently the rumors started with news articles about chips implanted in employees that would grant them access to the companies facilities. A type of key less lock. The chips will not locate people, however, at least not yet. That would take an implantable GPS, an implantable Cell phone transmitter, and an implantable battery with a multi year useful life.

Yes he does, but I guess once you’ve killed someone like that you would have that ‘soul-less’ look.
