I used to be able to get other Pork Products at wally World, but now Tyson is all I can find. They were no good with Chicken, and I boycotted that, but for Memorial Day i made the mistake of getting Pork Ribs. We cooked the ribs off and then Barbecued then and basted them with KC Masterpiece. When we being to eat them I notice a big black area on them, and the rest of the meat tasted horrible. We stopped eating them and dumped all but a sample. I was sick for about 4 or 5 days straight, everything I ate after that made me sick. I am just now getting back to normal, stomach wise. I will call them Monday and ask them why they are so careless that they do not thoroughly bleed their Ribs and end up with putrefied meat. Never again, Clinton is not there to protect their worthless butts. I am calling Wally world and letting them know also.

Supposedly cooking the meat well done will kill it, I have always had well done but got e-coli infection about 15 yrs ago, almost killed me, still have one bad kidney from it, had a really big abscess on my liver, spent 32 days in hospital and had lost weight down to below 75 lbs. My advice would be to toss it.

Local butcher, also most Kroger store will grind it for you while you watch. Pick out a chuck steak and a round or sirloin steak and tell them to grind it.

I also have plenty of walking around steaks, but the little woman will not eat anyone she knows and she has them all named.

I agree with you on Sony. I also found that while they were good with their ideas, their actual product engineering was sub-par.

We don’t have a Kroger. The local butchers have been long gong too.

I hope everyone that still has butchers keep them in business.

my father was a farmer and he watched the development of the u.s. dairy and beef cleanliness standards in the early 20th c.,

and the decline of these standards beginning in the 1980’s when the big meat processors eliminated their american union employees

and replaced them with illegals.

It is killed by cooking. What they will do is take the recalled beef, cook it, and send it back out so you can eat it on your Pizza Hut pizza.
BTW this is the usual trick. Initially report a smaller amount and when the news dies down up the amount to the true number.
It worked years ago with turkey at Thanksgiving. So now it is SOP

Seems like if you’re on the east coast, health scares are just another headline. But if you live in California, watch out!

It is preferable to purchase freshly ground beef from the person who ground it on the day of purchase. A little known fact is that you can choose a cut of meat, take it to the butcher counter and ask that it be ground. They will do it on the spot. That is by far the safest way to buy ground beef. Granted, it is more costly, but you don’t have the risk of the pre-packaged stuff.

Another way to buy ground beef (at discount) is to go to the butcher counter at the time they close for the day. They often grind up what hasn’t sold in the case and that is the NewYorks, the RibEyes and the DelMonacos - even some tenderloins in there. They often offer it at $1.99/lb. It goes straight into my freezer.

Illegal Mexicans in meat packing plants mad about not getting their cadillac welfare plantation? Or taking a dump in our spinach?

Mexico is not a friend of the United States and never has been. Think about this: Mexican nationals cheering Osama Bin Laden at a soccer match with the USA or carrying signs that glorify Osama Bin Laden in protests over US immigration laws...

Think about things Americans do in large numbers at the same time...

If Islamic terrorists were to poison lots of turkeys just before Thanksgiving, what do you think would be the result? How many Mexican nationals work in those poultry processing plants???

That's even a little better than my earlier boo-boo.
