Todays' edition of the Daily FRead starts with a recent interview with Jerry Agar on WLS...Sen. Fred Thompson joins Jerry Agar
Fred also recently sat down with The Hoover Institute's Peter Robinson. This is a must see VIDEO
Last, but not least, here's a video of his appearance on Jay Leno last night. Maybe it's just my computer, but the video starts and stops and is out of sync. If anyone has a link to a better video, please post it.

Nothing new on the poll fronts so far today. I added another NH poll that, while released today, was taken following the "debate". This one confirms Thompson in 4th behind Romney, McCain, and Guiliani. We'll see what happens once Thompson starts campaigning there.

Why not call this the FRed Thread?............ The idea for calling it the Daily FRead came from RushCrush on the first edition. I think it original and conveys many things...Free Republic (FR) + Fred + thread all with one word. :)

7. Thompson is a globalist believer in the North American Union because he’s a member of CFR
You could fill in a couple more with idiotic conventional wisdom about it being too late and how he can’t raise money, etc. Maybe address the ‘womanizer for years before marrying’ thing too.
To: kevkrom
One myth is that Thompson had a “lackadaisical” record in the Senate/he did nothing of consequence in the Senate. I’m not sure whether that’s its own myth, or whether it fits under one of the ones you’ve already listed.

Last resort ones for me... they'll be outdated soon enough.
Maybe address the womanizer for years before marrying thing too.
I was planning on addressing that as part of the "trophy wife" bullet point... maybe just a general "Womanizer Not Committed To Family" header.

Question: Can anyone recall the last time, during a primary season, a candidate withdrew and announced support of another candidate, BEFORE the nomination had been decided?
Reason I ask, since IMHO, it's way past time for the GOP field to be thinned out some...if, when Fred makes his announcement, it's coupled with several of the other candidates...Tancredo, Hunter, Gilmore perhaps, withdrawing in his favor...??
Whay say you???
