To be fair, Michael Moore's movies are generally excellent, fun and informative, though with a 'progressive' tilt for which one can adjust. He's remarkable for having revolutionized documentary movies, making them widely popular, reaching a mass market. Conservatives should go and do likewise.(How many identifiable Conservative fimmakers of any kind are there?)

His best flicks were his first two: 'Roger and Me'(sardonic humour while documenting the ripple-effect devastation of Flint, Michigan when General Motors shut down a profitable factory there. It has what may be the best line in all of movies: when the 'Rabbit Lady' uncomprehendingly says "I shouldn't be doing this.")and 'The Big One'(sardonic humour while documenting Moore's cross-country book tour focused on corporate 'downsizing' and 'offshorring').

It's very sad if he's been a victim of theft. His critique of the medical industry in this film should be very interesting.

Considering that he and his fellow travellers advocate using the brute force of government to steal money from those who work to give to those who won't work, I won't feel too sorry for him.

Well, yes, I agree there should be conservative documentaries, but there is probably little or no infrastructure to produce and fund such enterprises, never mind thecreative side. That said, Michael Moore's movies are not documentaries. They are personal video editorials constructed out of outright bald-faced lies. Michael Moore's trick is to take video and then extensively edit it to make it say whatever fits his view. This is an example of what he does:

Original Video Interview Statement from Michael Moore's Mother:

Michael Moore is a nice guy, but he should take care not to eat too much or he could get fat and I feel like an idiot for not helping him understand this better.

Michael Moore Type Film Editing:

Michael Moore is a nice guy, but he should take care not to eat too much or he could get fat and I feel like an idiot for not helping him understand this better.

Yes, Roger & Me was amusing, seemingly, but it was built on a lie from beginning to end.

Unnecessarily so, since it could have been done easily enough while telling the truth.

I’m not a great fan of Big Business and Detroit, but I’m also not much of a fan of Communist nut cases. A pox on both their houses.

You’re an idiot. That wonderful movie ‘Roger and Me’ caught Bob Eubanks telling an off color, but harmless joke. Bob was there doing a fund-raiser for the people of Flint. Michael Moore was a vampire sucking off the carcass of the town. Bob Eubanks was blacklisted and never worked again because of that self righteous fat scumbag,

I’ve always thought that he could make a real impact if he did a documentary of the abortion industry.

Can you imagine the sh*tstorm he’d face! It would be huge!

Micheal Moore is an American propogandist.

His films are heavily edited to the point of being a rolling lie. He counts on an ignorant audience to “sell” his message.

I saw ‘Roger and Me’ and found it misinformative to the point of being offensive.

There are plenty of sites debunking ‘Roger and Me’. Start with just the fact that he didn’t grow up in Flint (as he claims): http://www.tommcmahon.net/2004/08/michael_moore_n.html

Conservatives don’t make such films because they have a shred of decency.
