A new California statewide survey conducted by Datamar, Inc. is showing momentum for Duncan Hunter, who has now moved up to third place in California. Mitt Romney's numbers have also jumped as he seems to have garnered all the soft Rudy support which seems to be in the process of evaporating.
Here are the results:
Mitt Romney
June 2007 poll: 32.6%
February 2007 poll: 10.5%
Rudy Giuliani
June 2007 poll: 14.7%
February 2007 poll: 40.9%
Duncan Hunter
June 2007 poll: 11%
February 2007 poll: 5.9%
Tom Tancredo
June 2007 poll: 5.9%
February 2007 poll: 3.9%
John McCain
June 2007 poll: 5.4%
February 2007 poll: 17.4%
Fred Thompson
June 2007 poll: 4.9%
February 2007 poll: n/a

Good analysis.
Quite frankly, Gov Bush acted in ways that deliberately went against the far right back to 1995. He almost passed a tax increase in 1998 and was ‘saved’ by the failure to come to bipartisan agreement (shades of today) ... Today in his comprehensive immigration push we see the end-result of his opposition to prop 187 12 years ago. Romney might cause some angst for not being hard-right on some things, but nothing could come close to what Bush is doing to us RIGHT NOW.

excellent!
The anti-freeloader pro-personal responsibility health plan?
Mitt doesn't think people should freeload on emergency room medical care and make the rest of us pick up the tab. They should be required to buy health insurance on the free market and pay their own way.
Pro-free market, anti-freeloader. That's conservatism writ large.
Unless you're a freeloader.
Are you a freeloader?
Better chance than Romney. That much I know.
Yes, he survived to become governor of the state. Not bad. Now he's surging in California without even trying. He's got game.
Romney's Electoral Goldmine
I meant to say Romney and Thompson, LOL! : )
Duncan bump.
I’m late to this thread, but way to go Hunter! I can see that the RINO supporters in this thread are pissed off about Hunter’s strong performance.
bttt
Actually, I really like Duncan Hunter and don’t have anything bad to say about him. He might make a great VP (and then Pres in 8 years) and he’d certainly be a wonderful Sec. of Def. or Homeland Sec. Dir. for Romney.
Hunter would never work for that socialist RINO.
Duncan Hunter for president in 08. This country needs him.

In any event, "Socialist RINOs" don't govern like this:
4 years ago Romney opposed a bill that would have allowed illegal aliens to get drivers licenses. "Those who are here illegally should not receive tacit support from our government that gives an indication of legitimacy," the governor said, echoing arguments that opponents have voiced in the Commonwealth and in other states considering similar license measures. "If they are here illegally, they should not get driver's licenses," he said. (Scott S. Greenberger, "Romney Stand Dims Chances Of License For Undocumented," The Boston Globe, 10/28/03)
Romney vetoed a bill in 2004 that would have permitted illegal aliens to pay the same in-state tuition rate paid by citizens at public colleges and universities in Massachusetts.
Romney vetoed the bill providing state funding for human embryonic stem cell research
Romney vetoed a bill that provided for the "morning after pill" without a prescription because it is an abortifacient and would have been available to minors without parental notification and consent
He vetoed legislation which would have redefined Massachusetts longstanding definition of the beginning of human life from fertilization to implantation
Governor Romney strongly supported a successful ballot initiative that replaced the state's bilingual program with English immersion. (Romney Vows to Protect English Immersion Law, May 1, 2003)
Governor Romney demonstrated his commitment to school-choice by vetoing a bill that would have canceled funding for Massachusetts' charter-school program. (Romney to Veto Charter School Moratorium, June 23, 2004)
He supported parental notification laws and opposed efforts to weaken parental involvement
He fought to promote abstinence education in public school classrooms with a program offered by faith-based Boston group Healthy Futures to middle school students.
In the four balanced budgets he signed into law, Governor Romney used the line-item veto or program reduction power to cut spending by nearly $1 Billion. Over the course of four budgets, Governor Romney made over 300 line-item reductions, 350 line-item eliminations and struck language 150 times
Gov. Romney was instrumental in passing a bill abolishing a retroactive capital gains tax in the state that would have forced nearly 50,000 taxpayers to pay an additional $200 million in state taxes and fees
Wow, I had no idea Romney would be leading in CA. I thought Rudy was. Good numbers for Hunter as well.
We said that in 2000. I think that's why we're so willing to settle for the lessers believing it can't get worse.
Neither does a RINO, The do however temporarily change their rhetoric, but never their overall Globalist plan.
We went through these same ass kicking when GWB was looked upon as the second coming
Not many of those true blue kneel at the alter Busbotts left on these forums now, even they can see they were betrayed. I held my nose and voted 2 times for GW, al the time knowing in my heart he was a comitted One Worlder, nut the objectors early on in the first debates were steamrolled by those same argument we hear being used again. That and the big money doners and the head of the RNC pumping money into their chosen one.
Most of us true patriots just refuse to lay down and politely be raped again by our friends, at leas if I am going to be raped I want it to be some one I don't know.
Patriots will not vote for your RINO, candidates, so why come on these forums and tell us how stupid we are, which will absolutely assure that we won't stand in the booth and swallow our principles and pull the tail of the RINO. On the other hand some of the less committed, might roll over, but I wouldn't press the issue.
Only a true DUmbass would bring Kerry in this thread, btw Mitt is from Michigan. The latest Rasmussen poll has Hunter polling at 1% ..got it 1%!!! , you think he is going to beat Romney, STFU and try again with some intellect in your posts if that is possible.
Carl Levin is from Michigan too, so who cares. There are LOTS of LIEberals from Michigan who I wouldn't support for dog catcher.
