I would thing predatory critters would be legal to shoot
Just saw them...looks like he’s eye’n ya up fer dinner!
As would I.
We walked in that area several time during the day, with gun in hand, thinking he would make a great dinner & a pretty cool pair of shoes!
And you thought we were joking about gators being in the lake!
Looks like those frozen chickens did the trick. ;-)
LOL! Hope everyone has a gun in hand at all times!
Or at least a sentry posted...
I was sure hopin’ that you were “just joking”! LOL!
Ya don’t have to FEED the darn things already! EGAD!
It’s just Wally, nothing major. LOL
Ya'll should have seen them last summer when it was raining, they were constantly getting run over on the highway.
The discussion reminds me of when we had a place on Kickapoo Creek at Lake Livingston. Late 70's - early 80's there was an abundance of gators in and around the creek -- some REALLY big ones -- 15 footers; give or take a little. I KNOW this to be true. A fishin' buddy and I were quietly trolling around one of the coves around Kickapoo bass pluggin when one just slowly raised up about three feet from, and parallel, to the boat. He was roughly the length of the 17' boat we were in. My buddy and I looked at each other for a few seconds, then I reached over and popped the gator between the eyes with my rod tip. We both got pretty wet when he swung his tail and departed in a big hurry. Wet was better than et!
When gator season opened down around the coast, all of the resident gators migrated south(in the back of pickup trucks I suspect). After a couple of years, there were no gators to be found around Kickapoo Creek.
Gator! Thanks for the ping!
Not a darn thing.
The lake used to be filled with catfish & bass. Guess the gator's took care of that! On a education thought, gators don't like carp.
Can't say I blame 'em ;^)
Offer humblegunner a beer, a knife and tell him what that gator said about his mama...
Most people down here are used to them.
Effective September 1, 2005, an alligator hunters license is not required to hunt alligators in Texas. Under the terms of House Bill 2026, enacted by the Texas Legislature and signed by the governor, the alligator hunters license is abolished and hunters may take alligators under any hunting license except the non-resident spring turkey license or non-resident banded bird hunting license.
