I suspect Hatch is a lost cause. He is the former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and could have pushed through an enforcement bill when he had the chance. He didn’t. He could have brought pressure on the White House to enforce the current laws, he didn’t. He has turned into a squish, and is another one of those idiots who gets giddy when Ted Kennedy makes nice and pays attention to him.
I’ve called all these Sen. just this a.m. and each office says they are still firm against cloture and this bill.
I hope they were not blowing smoke.
