If you can’t change your mind after experiencing teh harvesting of embryos—human life—for experimentation, what are you going to change it over?

I somehow don’t call that the turn of the hat.

And you’ll note Romney never voted/vetoed/signed in favor of pro-abort legislation. Though he sure as heck vetoed it. That counts more to me than something someone said years ago.

Well Romney himself had this to say about his leveraged buyouts and takeovers in the business world:

But he said he did have some second thoughts about elements of his Bain Capital career.

“The experience of the last eight years, running the Olympics and being a governor, would make me take an even more sensitive look at the impact of business decisions on the lives of suppliers and employees and others who are involved,” he said.

I suppose it’s just another flip flop.

So we have a multiple-choice selection of a multiple-wife candidate vs. a multiple-god candidate like Mitt, eh? (And since the Bible talks about the true church being married to Jesus...see 2 Cor. 11:2; Eph. 5; Rev. 19-21 & other passages...and LDS believe that spouses are forever...I guess Mitt will be two-timing only in the celestial kingdom, eh?...

I know many Catholics practice birth control. . .and vote for Democrats who support partial birth abortions - et al. . .and regular Catholics and/or 'Protestant' Christians who 'practice' unfaithfulness; and get divorced. . .in mulitples. And of course, 'the Christian multitudes' who hone their lives to Biblical mores who are less than successful; because their hearts. . .souls. . .inclinations - whatever - lead them to define their own lives by the 'Imperfect'. Not to say, I am a measurer of sainthood here. No way. . .

And so. ..and however, Mitt; unlike some of the more extremely fundamental members of the Mormon religion; lives a life, that if he were identified as Christian; he would be identified and praised. . .as a MODEL Christian. I think that means something; that the way one chooses to live and express his Faith is as important; if not more important, than the prescriptions that a person's Faith requests, demands and often requires of it's adherents. The 'walk' and the shoes worn, tell us who that person is.

Real Faith; and those that hold onto it - or try to - most often fall between these fundamental lines; and so reading a Mormon missive; like reading the Bible - or cathechism, does not necessarily define the 'total person'. . .I am a Christiain; but I realize that Christianity for all it's 'Good'; did not invent it. . .

Meantime, the irony remains, that the only candidates who have have come even close to a 'multiple wife' category of religious dictim; are the 'Christian-challenged' candidates or wannabe candidates. Rudi, 'two. ..Judy Nathan Giuliani (is she a Christian or even a Republican?), three husbands. . .Newt (whom I truly admire. . .cannot keep count here. . .) McCain, two marriages. . .Fred - whom I appreciate as well - how many ex-wives/girl-friends. . .not sure here; but more than one. . .(two?) Does not matter; the only wives being counted are the one's that Mitt Romney does NOT have. . .

Think there is something to say about how one 'walks the walk' here; versus the religious map-quest these people claim to follow; or we like may want to imagine, that they are inclined to want to follow. . .

The verses you apply/quote and the virtues they ascribe; seem to apply by example less to our Christian contingency of candidates; and more to the example of a 'path followed' by Mitt Romney.

Meantime, I am quietly rooting for Fred to 'come out of the closest' and soon; because it is the fair and right thing to do. I also appreciate, the who/what of character; and how it fits to a Repub candidate whose name is Mitt Romney.

I don't care about Harry Reid's denominational claim to the hereafter; he is still 'scum-league'. I do care about the example that Mitt Romney - and his wife - offer, as it relates to 'Good Faith'. However, you spell it.

Yeah, self-analysis is a real flip-flop.

I’d rather call that the workings of the human heart upon the mind and wholly commendable. But you call it what you want.

p.s. as a correction here:

That should have read as 'spouses' (!) of course. . .

Oh, but it was you who suggested that Mitt never harmed any of the business in his leveraged buyouts.

Perhaps you should do some analysis.

>>>>”But I have a very difficult time with the perspective [the Mormon church holds] that, ‘We are the true expression of Christianity and all other forms of it are wrong and false and apostasy and heresy,’” Roberts said, paraphrasing the doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.<<<<

that’s funny!

people that live around mormons know what mormons do to others.

if anyone’s biased, it’s the mormons.

i’m not voting romney.

nepotism is a second reason.

I leaned toward supporting Romney until I researched what the Mormons (LDS) teach. Sorry, I just can’t vote for a man who believes that God was once a man and progressed to being God, that Jesus & Lucifer were brothers in the beginnings, God & Mary had sex and conceived Jesus, etc. etc. etc.

God God used to be a man on another planet, Mormon Doctrine, p. 321. Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, Vol 5, pp. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, Vol 2, p. 345, Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333.)

God had sexual relations with Mary to make the body of Jesus, (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 4, p. 218, 1857; vol. 8, p. 115.) -

No, it was I who suggested that Dominoes and Staples didn’t suffer as Romney restructured them. Anyone who researched the matter knows that they grew substantially and profited greatly after Bain Capital became involved.

Finessing one’s business strategies to minimally affect employees is one thing. On the other hand, you wrote that companies suffered under Romney. If expanding your market influence and bringing in profits is suffering, yes, I guess they suffered terribly. But I don’t know many people who would take that perspective on business save a few far left anarchists.

Saying he'd be sensitive to others based on experiences he's had is not a flip-flop. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you talk to your shrink.

Shrink: "What do you see in this ink blot? (two people kissing)"

Colorcountry: "Romney flip-flop! Romney flip-flop!"

But seriously....I'd say this experience gives him an edge on an issue such as anti-trust law. Wouldn't you prefer Romney's experience and judgement when it comes to business issues over, say, Hillary, whose only business experience was playing cattle futures?

Speaking of anti-trust laws....perhaps you should see how early antitrust laws were used to break apart the Church-owned monopolies in Utah.
