Now is the time to take the list of Republicans who supported amnesty at any time, especially today, and figure out which of those senators are up for re-election in 2008. Then we need to find a conservative Republican in their state to take them on in the primary. We may not beat them all but we can certainly cause them to have a very expensive primary. That will put the fear of the base in the whole lot.
Someone needs to set up a website that can track these senators and their primary opponents. A link to the opponent’s website so we can send donations would be good. We need to send the message that this is the 3rd rail of Republican politics. We must not forget. Make them pay.
I agree whole heartedly. I donated more money in last years election to Conservative candidates than I ever gave to the RNC. We need to get rid of Murtha, almost did, and Spector was almost defeated. I think next time, they both will go down in flames.
