I agree, I did a couple of tours myself, most of the guy's I grew up with did at least one. We came back to the world and got on with it.
The commies, hippies, are the ones stuck in the past.

If Hillary is elected, I doubt that the Military will be an elective choice. More than likely, it will be Military Draft. BTW, regarding the article above, I think our troops know they are supported, prayed for and loved by the people of the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave - thanks to this Forum, and all who support it.

And pack those babies as FULL as you can....taping them, of course... LOL
Just mailed another one today = you couldn't have squeezed a piece of paper in there!
Oh, I also just bought him a sub to National Geo = a favorite of his. He will pass them along as he does the books I send
Oh, again, one thing he said they needed BAD is a small, light and portable pop up mosquito net. Bugs crawl all over them at night, trying to get in mouth, etc.
I found this one online = only 6 oz, so they can fit it in their packs -

Found some great site links - about our troops - on the U.S.Postal Service web site - pleasantly surprised. Many of you already be aware of it?
This is a story from today - but of course it will be over the news - s/

Flat Rate for military Priority boxes is $8.95 - if by weight, the one I mailed today would’ve been $3 more.

the Bug Pin! Great - it would be great for putting on sleeping gear! at $1.99, I'm going to send one for each member of my g'sons squad!
Come to think of it - these troops are on the most rugged 'camping' trip imaginable - I don't know why I didn't think to check out camping/outdoors stuff before.
Of course, have to keep in mind that they can't add much to the awfully heavy packs they have to carry = but small stuff like the bug pin - or things they can eat. I'm going "shopping" ;o)

I think our troops know they are supported, prayed for and loved by the people of the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave - thanks to this Forum, and all who support it. They need to hear it loud and clear - I'm not supposing what I said about them being demoralized by the traitors here at home - I was repeating what was said to me directly from the battleground -
There's a new book out on this and just how the troops feel - it's a wake up call - I can't remember the name! I thought I had it saved in my "wish list" but can't find it. Anyone remember? But here's a site you might like to look at.

Hey you two, and anyone reading this....you MUST BE VERY CAREFUL with handing out those addresses to just anyone. WhatEVER you do, don’t publish it online...like here for instance.
For the sake of our troops...PLEASE go thru someone you trust, and once you have your soldier’s name, guard it with your LIFE.
I mean it....
