I’d bet on malfeasance on the part of the contractor working on that span. That thought brings up the question of the political connections if any between the contractor and the local rat party politicians. It’s happened before as in levees in N.O.

On MSNBC they are stating that on the 30th the media warned that there would be “pile driving” during the day of the 1st and that there would be a lot of noise. Guess they were warning residents about the noise to come due to “pile driving”? What is this term mean?

The bridge in the movie was in West Virginia, over the Ohio River, but looked very similar.

Oh geez - a very important point indeed. Summer weather has it's perils for rescuers and the trapped alike, such as dehydration, but winter exposure would be worse for rescuers to work in and much more deadly for those who got tossed into the water or awaiting rescue.

Our grocery delivery guy said his friend and his friend’s daughter were headed to the Twins game tonight. His friend’s wife can’t get ahold of him. Prayers!

Geez, what a sad situation. Hopefully the death toll won’t go too high.

Other than the video of the accident, the coverage has been abysmal IMO. Some of the NEWS commentary isn’t too bad, but other comments are very shallow.

Best wishes to victims, family, and friends.

Thanks! I tried to drive down to see what I could see but thought better of it and turned around. The police and fire departments were still responding so, I didn’t want to get in the way.

Local news telling looky-loos to keep away, unless they are there to help.

He’s the first Muslim congressman and yes he refused to take the oath on the Bible.

I’m sorry, I can’t get in the tinfoil hat mode right now. I have too many friends in Minneapolis, I lived there 20 years.

If anything, I think they’d be safer from terrorism because of Ellison and the moonbats worship of him.

I’m waiting for my best friend to return my call, lives not far from the bridge.
