This guy lays it on a little thick but his basic theme is in line with the Liberal Democratic platform. Surprised he had time to write this with Yearly Kos going on.
You would have to ask Mrs. Duggar that, or my Mom, who had 12 of us. My parents did ok, we are all healthy, law abiding, principled people, and wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Yes, times have certainly changed. My parents were born in 1900 (Dad) and 1911 (Mom), each into large families. I had 20 sets of aunts and uncles (most passed on now) and approximately 90 first cousins. That kind of growth in population, useful in a rural, farming community, could not be sustained now, but I would never fault anyone for having more than 2.4 children as long as they can support and educate them.
At the same time folks down in NC are all up in arms over involuntary sterilization of the mentally defective in the middle of the last century.
We already know they hate life. At least they’re being consistent, with a respectable intensity of vulgarity.
Somewhere between this article’s unbalanced view and your unbalanced response (in the title) there is a balanced perspective. Agreed that the 17th child is no less human than the 1st or should be discussed in any terms than those we would use to discuss any other human being. At the same time, every advanced society, including the Chinese, recognize the problems of overpopulation and folks modify their activities accordingly. Much of the hatred directed against Bush is a reaction to the fact that he, personally, is insensitive to the impacts of population growth in the US, the principal contributor to which is illegal immigration. So, I don’t think that this woman, and her husband, should be freed from expressions of opporbrium on their excess contributions to demands on land and public resources. I think your view that we need to run a competition between native and nonnative breeders to see who can increase the population most rapidly is a, I believe futile, recipe for disaster.
He is talking about the home too. I know I watched a program on these folks and they built that home over the course of several years. They built it! Not taxpayers and besides with a house that big...they’re paying their fair share.
12-17, what’s the difference. We always had extras around anyway. Our house was THE place to go play LOL. Really once you pass 10, a few more is nothing. God has blessed them richly with 17 healthy children.
I pity any of his progeny. What a hateful person.
This is the true left shining through. The left is full of fascists and tyrant wannabes. My guess is this person would prefer to kill the Duggars rather than sterilize them.
I like the Duggars. I always thought Mr. Duggar was a lucky guy for finding his wife. If there were more families like the Duggars, we would have a better country.
Remember, the left isn't breeding. That's why they have to rely on lies, propaganda, and indoctrination.
Mrs. Duggar is the antithesis of the women I'm mocking with my tag line and I've always wondered where the women like her went, but I think I know what happened.
From what I saw on the show on TLC about them, the mother takes care of the baby/youngest and the older children are each responsible for a younger child - a "buddy" they called it. Mom's "buddy" is always the baby, the rest are organized by and older one who make sure their buddy is taken care of. They didn't go into a lot of detail of how much the older has to do, but it appeared to make sure they were dressed properly, teeth/hair brushed, buckled in when in the vehicle, things of that nature.
From another practical standpoint, the mom was dead lucky that several of the older ones were girls who tend to just be better at that type of thing. I also think that chores are divied out also. One show had a feature on their new laundry facilities and one child was pointed out that it would make her life so much easier and that the new kitchen would help another.
But I also go the feeling that they all do things together a whole lot, which of course makes things easier too.
The oldest is a 19 year old boy - I wonder if he has gone off to college? Anyone know?
Flown over the country in a jet lately? We are so far from overpopulation it’s laughable.
I’ve seen some of the shows about them, and they accept quite a bit of charity in the form of food and clothing donations, etc. Does anybody have a problem with their popping out more babies when they can’t support the ones they already have? Granted, they don’t seem to be drawing any government support (at least none that I know of,) but it still seems to me that they’re sponging off other people to support their chosen lifestyle. Donning flame-retardant suit.
And that's the important thing.
Jumpin’ jimminy! This writer definitely makes a case for legal abortion. Her own.
“For one, the taxpayers of Rogers, Arkansas must be up in arms. They have to foot the bills for all these kids educations, the public services to water them and wash their shit, piss and puke away, the roads to carry their trucks and SUVs, the public welfare to support them when they falter. And just imagine how much the neighbors on either side of them just love the Duggars!
1)The Duggars homeschool. No tax dollars for that. They run their own businesses. They GENERATE taxes.
2)They never use public services. Part of their faith is self sustinance.
3)Also part of their faith is helping others. They help keep others from faltering, and using public income. And when they “falter”, they lift each other up. That’s why people always had large families before SS.
5)They don’t have SUVs. The family drives around in a bus they refurbished. I imagine as they get older there will be some individual vehicles, but they don’t believe in consumptive opulence as a family. They don’t even watch TV - they believe in playing outside or reading, instead.
They built their own house with their own hands, and live on a very large piece of land. I assume their neighbors love having charitable people who love to “help out” around.
Clueless.
You could fit them all in Texas, I believe.
The filth doesn't have any, without a doubt.
He's just a vile, disgusting snake, probably unkempt, unshaven, living in some horrid hovel piled high with crap, and spewing at a world he was unfortunately born into and never connected with.
In other words, he's a Democrat.
