However, here's what I found out about fertility rates as reported by V Dare:
Total fertility rate, all races, US: 2.054
Total fertility rate, Hispanics, US: 2.877
Higher than the average US fertility rate, but not explosively higher.
And I think that after 1 - 2 generations here, it falls down to to the average.
In 50 years, the problem for BOTH the US and Mexico is going to be aging, rise in % of dependent elders, lack of entry-level people in the workforce.
The US adds a net gain of one person every 10 seconds, which includes one international migrant (net) every 27 seconds. We have added 100 million to our population since 1970 and will add another 62 million in the next 23 years or the equivalent of the current population of the UK.
The face of America is changing with one of the greatest mass migrations in history. Hispanics, 1 percent of the population in 1950, are now 14.4 percent. Their total number has soared 25 percent since 2000 alone. By 2050, one in four residents of this country will be Hispanic. Half the children 5 and younger in the United States are now minorities. Hispanics and blacks have the highest high school dropout rates, which doesn't bode well for our future.
