Quebeckers are mainly descended from the French colonists who lived there before 1763, but there are a lot of immigrants from elsewhere in Montreal, and there are some small areas that are historically English-speaking (mostly along the border with New York, I think). Plus there are some members of the so-called First Nations (Indian or Eskimo).
