The Saudi burkha is cultural, most moslems only have to wear a head scarf. Men beat women in many cultures. we need to focus on the real issues of extremism, not cultural differences. And of course a moslem in America can’t legally beat his wife, or force her to cover her head.

Not really. The whole reason many came over here was to practice religions their home countries didn’t approve of. Allowing her to follow her religion is one of many things that make us better than Islamic countries. If we start taking away our long held freedoms for the illusion of safety it is a slippery slope until we are equal to those countries...

Well, no. Overwhelmingly not true in the case of Muslims, where in most countries being a Muslim is not optional, but mandatory.

BTW...it's our culture that makes us better, not some idea of "tolerance."

You obviously haven't given a lot of thought to the implications of Islam. In a belief system which mandates the intertwining of church and state (as opposed to separation) any religious act is by definition a politcal act. What does that imply?

So religious freedom and tolerance are not things that make us a great country?

They are certainly part of our culture, and as I said one of many things that make us better not the only thing.

Allowing political dissension (to a point) is yet another part of our culture that makes us better. Or would you prefer FR to be shut down whenever a Democrat is in power?

Part of being in a democracy means having to deal with the fact that it is very often disorderly, and people can do a lot of things you do not like and be within the law.

Predictably, when liberals can’t refute facts and logic they revert to histrionics. Why don’t you answer the questions I asked? They at least form a basis for rational discussion. But, then, you care nothing about rationality.

If I knew what you were talking about I’m sure I’d answer. I’m not a liberal so you must be a jackass. I’ve ducked no question what’s yours?

"Even if it were true I have zero, nil nada empathy for this burka-wearing Arab woman."

I can't find any questions, just your emotional diatribe. First stop, she wasn't wearing a burka. But hey why should facts bother you.

Second stop, she wasn't boarding a plane she was in a store buying something.

Third stop, so you "make sure they know" you're giving them the once over. OK God bless you on your personal war on terror.

Fourth stop, do you go up to women you don't know and sing songs in their face about Osama Bin Laden? We can hope not.

Final stop: The story may not be true, which is fine. But you've made it clear you support the behavior described. So then we're past the issue of whether it happened, you want it to happen.

Leave women you don't know alone, your judgment of people you don't know is piss poor, as when you call me a liberal.

Mr. Bush and many others speak of the concept of taking the war to the land of the terrorists so they can’t bring it to the United States.

That would be my concept in the war for their souls. Take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, and the entire Middle East — Including Israel. If it can’t be openly on the ground, the warfare can be conducted “underground” (and it is in some places) and over the radio airwaves and Internet (this is going on too, but not enough).

The war for the souls of Muslims has entered the United States B I G time. they brought it to us, where Christian evangelism is commonplace and often very public, in the streets, as well as by all electronic media. Biblicist Christianity is what provided the thought patterns and philosophy for our Constitutional Republic. Christians should engage in this war against their false and dangerous religion of destruction.

Christians should do this by deliberate, on the offense delivery of the message of the Person and Cross-work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Muslims have been taught a faulty, devilish false-identity of Jesus — “another Jesus” (a false Jesus; see 2 Corinthians chapter 11).

We do not want our young people, or any American to “bear with” Islam, which presents a false Jesus in the Koran.

Paul warned, “For if he that cometh preacheth ANOTHER JESUS, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

Paul said, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. (Galatians 1:8, 9) I would that Christian missions had continued to the Middle East as they had begun in the days of the British Empire. I am a personal friend of an elderly Christian brother who labored for years in the Sahara, preaching the Gospel to Muslims. But probably no missionary 50 years ago thought of the consequences to America if Christian Gospel missions to the Muslim world were to dwindle to next-to-nothing as they have since the end of the Second World War. Now the warfare is on our soil. Some time ago on Free Republic, a man was chastised by a Freeper for saying that he would have no quams about deliberately going after Muslim teenagers with the Gospel in any American city. The criticism was that that Muslim family has the right not to have their children evangelized away from Islam. Sorry, I am with the Christian evangelist. I am willing to take the scorn of the Muslim family if I can see a Muslim young person abandon Islam and the false god allah, and accept Jesus Christ as God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16), Immanuel (God with us, Matthew ch. 1), as the Sinless Saviour, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world (John ch. 1), and that young person's only Hope of eternal life. Muslims, now in large, aggressive, intimidating numbers, have brought the spiritual battle to our shores, perhaps because we failed to keep our missionary troops in the Middle East. Perhaps Christians "cut 'n ran" away from missionary efforts to Muslims thinking that their lands were closed; locked up tight. But there were ways to continue to get the Gospel to millions and millions of Muslims in the Mediterranean region, even if we could not work openly in Iraq, Iran and elsewhere. But perhaps we just cut 'n ran. Christians, it's time to enlist in the Lord's army now, and labor to win Muslims to Christ in our own land. Think of the consequences if we don't !

But it's the type of bigotry that will keep my family and countrymen alive.

"...Have you ever heard of Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bosnia, and MANY other Moslem peoples who worship the USA and owe us a debt of gratitude?..."

Worship the USA? Um, hardly, my dope-smoking FRiend.

Owe us a debt of gratitude? Definitely, but don't hold your breath, oh wise-yet-high-on-drugs sage.

I don’t smoke dope. But I do rely on a close friend who just served 18 months in Afghanistan for my information. The childish belief that all moslems hate us and we have no allies is, well, childish.
