What if you push 2,000 calories down and still gain weight due to the way in which your body functions?

Your body “functions” as you make it function. If you sit on your butt and do absolutely nothing, you are going to gain weight. PERIOD. You need so many calories a day to maintain the weight you are. However, if you burn nothing extra by sitting on your butt, then you will gain weight. Easy as that.
