God bless you and bless your Father that has left for a better place. It is good you had a good relationship with him and were able to be with him.
Sincerely,

Bless his heart and yours, RedCell. You’ll both be in my prayers.
To: RedCell
My prayers to you and your family.
Since Adam's fall, death and disease stalks us all.
But although the wages of sin is death -- we have the great promise -- the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus alone who is the Life and Light of the World.
I pray that HE comforts you and wipes away all tears, and brings into remembrance HIS great promises...
John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

I can tell you miss him dearly. From your words, I can tell he raised you right.

Excellent tribute to a Dad.
I know it was hard for me when my Dad passed away but believe me you will have lots of fond memories.
Prayers Up.

I lost my dad (WWII Navy vet) this past Good Friday to lung cancer (a two month prognosis when diagnosed). My last words with my dad were also bittersweet. He was in a deep sleep and unresponsive, and I left his side for a few minutes to visit with my brother in another room. Later I heard him yell my name, and ran back to find his eyes clear, wide open and looking right at me -- with a great big smile. I knew everything was going to be all right, and that he knew he was soon going to a far better place. He peacefully passed later that night.
Goodbyes are sad, but the promised reunion ahead is filled with joy. God bless you and your family, Red Cell.

Your love and admiration of your father touches me. I very much loved and admired mine. There is no antidote for your sense of loss - and never will be - ever, but it will be leavened by just how proud you are about him. He made a difference, a positive difference, and over time that glow in your heart, will be what matters. Best.
