That’s true; I miss my Mom’s cooking. Some Brit food sounds gross, but is pretty good — Bangers & Mash, Steak & Kidney Pie, Cornish Pastries, Scots Eggs, and Sausage Rolls. I did find out that the reason her pie crusts were so layered and flakey is she used lard instead of shortening, and rolled and rolled and rolled and rolled some more. At least I can make bread, that stuff they sell in the market is like dried wallpaper paste!
