Where are all the Ron Paul people coming from?
The Oregon Poll ^ | 9-20-7

Posted on 09/20/2007 6:40:58 PM PDT by Petronski

Over the last two days The Oregon Poll was seen by almost 400 "unique visitors," most of them in support of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul. The majority of these people came from these two links on the web.

There are articles in major newspapers, magazines and scholarly journals all over the world documenting the Neoconservative movement. Do you deny that the blueprint for this was PNAC (Google the authors/backers of “Project for the New American Century”?

So why would you single out and rant against Ron Paul and blame him for merely stating the obvious?

Above all, Dr Ron Paul is a truth-teller. That is the wellspring of his grassroots support, that and his position as a strict constitutionalist. I have no problems at all with that platform!

I didn’t say he is an anti-semite nor did I say he is a big spender, I said he is a moderate conservative and implied he is not as genuine as people believe.

Now go put some words in someone elses mouth.

The reason you are seeing lots of California plates in Austin is because of tech industry. A lot of the tech industry is relocating to Austin from California due to a more business friendly atmosphere and cheaper cost of living

Well OJ and Paris threads actually have a lot in common with Paul treads. They all involve mindless entertainment.

1. Defunding the troops in the middle of a war.
2. Opposing the WOT.
3. Blaming American and ‘blowback’ for the WOT.
4. Opposing putting the military on the border.
5. Opposing criminalizing the harming of a fetus in the commission of a crime.
6. Opposing laws that prevent taking a minor across state lines to get an abortion.
7. Supporting laws that protect child predator’s ‘privacy’.
8. Opposing the patriot act.
9. Playing semantic games with the Constitution, Art 1, Sect 8, Subsect 11, but ignoring Subsect 10 in regards to declarations of war.

Should I keep going? The reality is, 1 and 2 are deal breakers for me. I know the others can be ‘justified’ away, but national defense is the #1 responsibility of the government, imho.

There are black folks voting for Paul, and economists, as most economists are libertarian; in fact, Greenspan himself said that he is a Libertarian Republican. That is not the 'worst of American society'.

The democrats are frightened to death of Paul because he is so conservative; conservative, as it was with my parents and grandparents. I find if concerning that people do not remember that degree of freedom in America. There were even further degrees of freedom in the generations that preceded these generations mentioned here.

Lots of fine, intelligent and highly intellectual people think that Ron Paul is the future of a free America.

But DU is afraid of him, and send their people here and to other websites to mock him. Where are the people with character, who know how to stand up to mockery? They should be here defending Mr. Paul, even if they do not intend to vote for him. It is a matter of honesty, integrity, character and preferring rugged individualism to collectivism.

That was my bad from my original post pinging Jim (because of the site’s past history with Stormfront.) I didn’t doublecheck what I typed.

Just a little correction, DU is not afraid of Ron Paul. They are using him.
