Miller Pulls Logo From 'Last Supper' Advertisement (Keep Up the Pressure!)

The Miller Brewing Company, a sponsor of this weekend's homosexual "leather" street fair in San Francisco, has asked to have its logo removed from an advertising poster that has offended some Christians.

The advertisement portrays Christ and his disciples as half-naked sado-masochists.

"While Miller has supported the Folsom Street Fair for several years, we take exception to the poster the organizing committee developed this year. We understand some individuals may find the imagery offensive and we have asked the organizers to remove our logo from the poster effective immediately," the company told Cybercast News Service on Tuesday.

The group behind the ad said it was not intended to be either "pro-religion or anti-religion," but the poster -- a parody of Leonardo da Vinci's painting "The Last Supper" -- continued to draw fire from Christian organizations on Tuesday.

The ad is promoting the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco -- essentially a multi-city block party for homosexuals. It shows a group of men and women scantily clad, at a long table, laden with sex toys and sado-masochistic implements.

Offended SOME Christians? If you are a Christian and were not offended, I have to wonder about your commitment to the faith.

“We understand some individuals may find the imagery offensive and we have asked the organizers to remove our logo from the poster effective immediately,”

Some find it offensive? Are these people really that stupid or are they just that hateful?

What a weak response. “Well, it was based on ‘The Last Supper’ painting, not about the real Last Supper.”

Miller is still putting up the money, they just don't want their logo on it.

Sorry, Miller, but that is only a small gesture. If you choose to put profit over responsibility, you can certainly do without my business.

“We understand some individuals may find the imagery offensive and we have asked the organizers to remove our logo from the poster effective immediately,”

We still support the organization and it's goals, we just don't want people to see that support so it won't hurt our business.

Thankfully, Miller beer is such swill that boycotting it is no sacrifice.

That's a total lie. The creation of the poster proves it. Bet they wouldn't do that to Muslims! They thought they could demean Christianity and get away with it. They didn't. Now, they have to resort to lies. They are vile and pathetic.

“We still support the organization and it’s goals, we just don’t want people to see that support so it won’t hurt our business.”

That did come across quite clearly, didn’t it?

“Thankfully, Miller beer is such swill that boycotting it is no sacrifice.”

Agreed.

Things may get out of hand.....I mean out of control during the festival and the Marines may have to be called out, but no pictures will be allowed to be taken of the Marines because it may disrupt traffic.

I guess I'll add miller to my list of no thanks. Right behind Sam Adams. However, I'm happy they decided to fix the problem. I might just keep this boycott to a year and see what they do next year. They have no idea what it means to the bottom line to lose me.
