Here in Tennessee I stopped patronizing Cracker Barrel after poking my head in their kitchen to find everyone there speaking Spanish...and that’s in Cracker Barrel’s #1 rep store at their HQ restaurant in Lebanon, TN! Anybody inclined to eat at McDonalds stateside (not healthy to begin with, I know), I would suggest ask directly and to the point in a very serious tone, maintaining eye contact, at the drive up window (AFTER THEIR FOOD HAS BEEN PREPARED AND THEY RECEIVED IT AS OTHERWISE THE WORKERS MIGHT SPIT IN YOUR FOOD), if all the employees are legally in the United States and have Green Cards. I am serious. We should start challenging these places and create a fear in the employees who have no business being here in the country because they broke and continue to defy law. I can almost think of a short script as I write. We all know these McDonalds and others are havens where not only is your order not taken correctly, but the server is most likely illegally here.

LOL! A few months ago we stopped a McDonald's on Keystone Ave, in Reno on our way back to Sacto, about 7 AM. Mrs. steveo (who was driving at the time) was screaming at the order taker. "DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND ME?"

When we finally got to the window they had the order screwed up(shockeraoo). On paying they also gave us the order of the car behind us... extra stuff went to feed the birds along I80 west.
