It’s what most of us worry about. Rudy will split the party if he’s nominated. Anyone attacking conservatives over trivial issues is an enemy in my book and (knowingly or unknowingly) working for our enemies.

“This suggests the recent poll showing a Romney surge in South Carolina was not absurd.”

You realize this is a national poll, not a poll on South Carolina?

So why would you try to connect the two?

Recent polls from ARG are absurd.

These are national numbers. The race is tightening.

You may want to see if this lasts for more than a couple of days before you start crowing about it. Rasmussen's daily numbers are based on a four day rolling average. A sudden spike like Romney just received could just as easily be the result of one spurious result as anything else -- if he can maintain the number for a week, then there might be something to it, but personally, I see no good reason why he should suddenly be 3 points higher than his trend line.

In other words, it could be momentum for Romney or it could just be a temporary blip. Either way, it's too soon to say with just a single point of data.

“Old centrist Mitt Boy, flipping and flopping.”

If Mitt is running against Hillary, still no thanks?
Please tell me your not one of those GOP voters who allows Leftest Democrats to win to “teach the GOP a lesson”?

Since Mitt Boy isn’t gonna win the GOP nomination, its a moot point.
